Today, I did a surprised visit to my Grandparents at Sitio Makawa, one of the far place here in the Municipality. Others said that this Sitio is also served as a boundary between two Municipalities, Manticao and Naawan. It is also expected a long travel journey by walking at the road trail all the way going to my Grandparent's place. Its been few Months since I did not visited them and it will be expected to make them happy after they see me visiting them. I started to take my journey by walking at exactly 8 in the morning, a perfect time to walk because there was still no intense heat comes from the sun. While walking at the road trail, I also enjoyed myself watching those relaxing views and experienced the freshness and coolness of the place.

I never thought that my Grandparents was decided to built a new house made of concrete and some kinds of light construction materials just like Lumbers, and bamboo pieces. As I arrived at the place they are very surprised to see me, having funny conversation and after that I decided to went at the place where under constructed structure was place. My Grandpa was very busy nailing this lumbers and tying small rope so it will be easy to follow the straight line of the hollowblocks place afterwards. My Grandpa is very expert about carpenting that is why this work is very simple for him.

First, My grandpa dug a hole at the ground and nailing those lumbers very perfectly. He also cleaned the place where cements, sands and mix sands will place before adding lots of water. My cousin is my Grandpa's partner of building the structure. They are very busy getting lots of sacks of sands and mix sands not far away from the site and my Cousin did his best to carried and pulled the sack of sands and cements. My Grandpa also checked the exact measurements using steel tape so He can perfectly put and piled the hollowblocks.

Materials:

They brought this pieces of lumbers at the construction store and they will use this as a foundation of the ceilings and walls since the house plan is all about half-house where the half part is concrete and the other half is made of light materials. Each lumber costs 90 Pesos each depends on what kind of hardest tree it is.

Next is the metal bars used to place to the ground before pouring with concrete. My Grandpa fold the end of the metals so it can easily attached and tied using tire wires. It can be useful so concrete structure wont be easily to crack everytime when there is a minor earthquakes.

They also brought this lots of cements and it is good for flooring and walls. This can be mixed with sands and water before pouring it at the hollowblocks so it will be very hard and wont be easily destroyed or leaning to the ground.

Plain sheets are also ready to used when this foundation is finished. They brought almost 15 pieces of plain sheets and fasteners so plain sheets wont be easily flew away when there is a strong winds.

Hollow blocks and Sacks of mix sands and fine sands are also ready to use. They brought this sack of sands from the river quite far away at my Grandparent's house. They hired some people who will carried and each back costs 40 Pesos. Hollow blocks is slightly wet that is why it needs to be more careful by placing it at the cement in order to stick and wont be easily leaning to the ground.

This few tools are used for cement finishing. This is very important when building a structure using a cement. My Grandpa was handling with care of his carpenter tools and now it is still good to use.

After digging a hole, they decided to put few lumbers and small rope as a guide if hollow blocks and concrete will place. I am very excited to see their new house and it really takes lots of Days And Months after it will completely finish. Until next post, have a nice day to all of us.
