IMG_20260809_160559.jpg

Greetings everyone, today as I visited our Farm, for coconut harvesting, I also visited and developed my Garden here again. But first, I visited my few corn plants near at the river. I planted it many months already and now, I gained a fruitful of success. I am very happy to see that corns are now ready to harvest. The first photo of mine shows the yellow corn I harvested this morning and the last time I planted it was only few grains of corns. But now I harvested lots of it, and decided to put it properly and planted it again here near at the river. The corns are very healthy and good to plant by next day.

At My New Developed Garden:

This is my new developed Garden, being productive is very important to me because of it I can gain a success. As I visited our Farm, I also developed my abandoned garden just like getting bamboo pieces and Fence post so I can attached the bamboo pieces served as a simple fence.

I am thankfully for my Brother's help and we gathered few Fence posts and after that I carefully nailed those dry bamboo pieces at the posts. This is the first thing I did before I will planted the vegetable cuttings. It takes almost an hour of doing it because I instantly gathered bamboos and fence posts. Madre de Cacao trees are the best one to use as a garden posts because it grows even if it is cutted and nailed with lots of nails.

I also used recycled big plastic bottles and I planted young Tomatoe plants on it. Choosing the best soil for my vegetables is very important but since our farm is sandy-soil, I decided to looked for any loam soil for my plants. But most of the vegetables I planted here can survived Sandy-soil. Only few of it needs a loam soil so it will grows better and healthy. Recycling helps the place clean and can reused trash things again. While cleaning some parts of the garden, I temporarily set aside those young tomato plants I planted at the recycled big plastic bottles.

This time I replanted camote leaves vines here at the Garden, since the old camote vines I've planted here are already dried and it needs replanted by cutting those best vines. Before I planted it, I removed the leaves first and cut in equal length so it will look organized. After that I carefully dug at exact depth of holes at the ground, add some organic fertilizer before planting it.

Same as my Camote vines, I also cutted it in equal length so it will look organized. But the vines of this vegetables is very soft and it really needs to cut it very carefully so it wont be damage. This kind of vegetable vines is perfect in an open field that is why I decided to plant it directly hit from the sun. Each hole contains three well cut vines and the time watering it is always 5 in the afternoon.

Because my Garden is slightly small, some of the vegetables I have here are well planted at the pots so I can easily transferred from one place to another. I have few big plastic pots here and some of my young tomatoes here are well planted. This young plants still not yet ready to put in an open field that is why I set aside at the place where the sun cannot directly hit it.

This are my young and newly planted chilli peppers but I forgot to placed some things that can help it to have shade. I felt worried about it, but I did my best to survived it by watering all of the young chilli peppers I replanted. But as I noticed, the plants can still survived.

My String beans plants also grows and produced vines that is why I decided to put straws and few branches of Madre De Cacao trees so the string beans plants can crawl it. Even of my Garden has temporarily abandoned, still the beans plants grows and luckily I found it while loosen and removing the wild grass.

I ordered the cuttings of this plant online, and this kind of plant is what we called Madre De Agua. It is good for farm animals like chickens, goats, and cows. Now it produced lots of young leaves and small branches and keeps growing stable. I am happy that even I haven't attended to cleaned few months, still some of my vegetables are still there. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.

I really enjoyed reading your garden journal. There’s something peaceful about taking time to care for a simple garden. Even small progress can feel rewarding when you see the plants slowly growing. I hope your garden continues to become greener and more productive. 🌱😊

Mahirap talaga mag-maintain ng garden kapag malayo yung farm, pero at least you’re still trying your best. Hopefully, with patience and consistency, makita rin natin yung magandang result. 🌱💚

Do you need to keep something out with the fences or just trying to keep everything organised? The garden looks very neat :)

Sandy soil can eventually become loamy soil with a bit of work. At our old house the sandy soil was starting to become loam after a few years of trying to learn gardening (we were young and didn't know anything), and then we moved house and then had to turn hard clay into loam x_x which took a few more years but most of the garden beds are there now. When it rains it's really easy to tell which part is loam and which part is still clay ^_^;

My plan for this is to plant string beans at the fences, it will also served as a frame so the beans can hang and easy to cut. It is also to kept it well organized. 😊
