Exploring Tropical Coconut Land in Zone 23 Barangay Poblacion Manticao, Misamis Oriental Mindanao Philippines

This is the road trail if we crossed from the river. The other side of this place connects the Barangay road that also leads to the Provincial road. Crossing here in the river is very cool and relaxing because of the tall trees and wild plants. Few old trees grows here where wild animals like birds lives and few bamboo trees grows. During my visit it was very nice and lucky for me because the weather was very calm and good and it was very sunny. Motorcycle and light vehicles can also passing by here everytime when the river is not flooded and muddy.

After crossing the river, this rocky and bumpy road here is the main road heading to the coconut farm. It is also a kind of shortcut site to all residents who lives at the Mountain. This road here was excavated 5 years already and it is also leads to the other side of the river. It is surrounded with bushes and fruit trees like guyabano and guava trees.

Before reaching the plain and wide coconut farm, this mountain slope also gives a great views of the Sitio. It contains fertile soil where few banana plants grows and aside of that thick bushes grows. Those who loves Nature travel and doing camp loves to place in here because of the overlooking views directly to the farm. This was once an open field where Native people planted lots of corns and sugar cane back in centuries already.

Big rocks and Stones are rolled down from the top of the Mountain by Native people that day. Some of the big stones here found in the mountain slope are used to worship their Gods and used as an offering table. But as many years has already past, it was totally abandoned and almost covered with wild grass.

This is a very big old Macao tree and it was already burned by native people. It is their old tradition by cutting trees, by burning the tree trunk before cutting it using big sharp ax. This tree is already a Hundred years old here and it is not totally decaying.

This area here is also perfect for Farm animals like Cows, Goats and Carabaos because of the wild grass grows here. Aside of that, those wild grass are also used for landscaping in other resorts by getting by blocks using a sharp tools. This farm holds almost 10 Cows and 15 goats in place and other called this area, Pastohan which means Ranch.

This Kasoy tree is one of the oldest fruit trees located here in the Sitio. This is the only fruit tree grows here and produces lots of fruits. Under this big trees is perfect to placed the Map for picnics and Tent for camping trips.

This very tall coconut trees contains lots of fruits to be harvested by next Month. Not by its agricultural benefits but also coconut trees gives a great wonderful views in the areas. Until next post, have a nice and safe travel to everyone.
