A Day In My Life at The Farm Checking Those Newly Built Bamboo Fence

Finally as Many Months of waiting for the place to become secured away from farm animals, we finally constructed this simple fence made of bamboos. Gladly we have lots of bamboos here at the farm and we can easily gathered lots of it to be use as a fence. This afternoon, we decided to visit our Farm here in Zone 23, just to see if Cows and Goats can still entering the area. But just to make sure that no animals can get inside, we placed this coconut palms very carefully in standing positions where supported to the fence so it wont get leaning to the ground. All of Coconut palms we have here are properly placed in alternate ways and this will so Cows and Goats cannot get inside.

Hundreds of coconuts are well placed at the bamboo fence and there are still lot more for the upcoming harvesting days.

Getting ànd gathering lots of bamboos is not really difficult because we have lots of it here. First, My Father was digging a hole to the ground in an exact deep and placing those big bamboos as a foundations of the fence. Next, we attached those long bamboos using strong vines and few nails so it wont be easily pulled out. The next thing we did was to built this simple opening areas where few bamboos placing together but in sliding by open it. There are lots of people passing by here at the farm, so it is better to built an opening that can be pass and easy to closed. It takes almost two days of constructing simple fence and after that we observed those animals of they can still get through and gladly it did not.

We planted almost hundreds of young coconuts but the time when there was not a fence, all of it was eaten by Cows and goats and this time those plants are now totally safe. I checked our young coconut plants and it already grows very stabled. Because of the fence we can also added to plant young coconuts here and aside of that crops and vegetable gardening can also be done here. We have almost fifty young coconuts here that are not yet ready to plant, but this can already be planted because the place is very safe from farm animals. Adding an organic fertilizers just like decomposted dry leaves are very important, in fact I put it near at the stems.

I was very happy to see that there are also lots of herbal plants grows. We did not herbal plants and we let it live at the Farm. This herbal plants is good for curing minor cough. Others out it in the water that served as a tea. There are lots of people searching in this kind of plants. It contains a good smell very easy to propegated. The best thing I did was to loosen the soil always using ny Favorite farm use, the sharp, short shovel.

During my Farm visition blog, farm raising cows was very busy eating lots of grass. They cannot pass through away because it was already constructed with a fence. I let those young cows and goats roaming around the place and better to check them always.

Some of our Resthouse and piggery also needs to renovate but there are still not enough time to do it. It will cost lots of money by buying construction materials and hiring few people who will do the job. The only thing we did was to cut those wild vines and removing wild grass at the place.

I also checked our fruit trees and I found this nearly ripe Guyabano fruits. As I counted it, the number of fruits already reached up to twenty pieces but unlucky some of it are already damage and eaten by fruit bats. Those perfect guyano was left are already covered with empty sacks so it can be safe away from harmful insects.

My Father was also busy cleaning the lawn particularly in this road. He swept those dry leaves and placed near at the coconut trees. It will be very nice to the place clean and have a wonderful views. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.

That is a very brilliant idea for a fence. And if the coconut palm is dead and dry enough to be a firewood, you could just get a coconut palm from the fence and replace it with another newly gotten coconut palm. This is so deal for a farm and a simple bahay kubo.
