Infernum
June has brought several rainy afternoons, which is appreciated given the heat we’re experiencing.
Summer mode activated, or as we say around here... wait until August!
The photos you’ll see in this post were taken the other day while I was on my way to find my girlfriend.
Her gym is very close to the Malecón (Seawall), which you’ve seen in another post like this one. It’s where the best sunsets in Cuba are.
I’m not a huge fan of the gym. That doesn’t mean I don’t exercise; I prefer outdoor workouts.
Anyway, back to the Malecón.
That particular day, it seemed like hell was about to unleash on Havana.
Nature and its unique wonders.
Although a storm isn’t pleasant, I loved the images.
They aren’t of the best quality, but I feel they deserve to be here on Hive.
The Rainbow
I’m not an expert in meteorology, but I understood that rainbows appear after rain.
How did this phenomenon happen? It wasn’t raining, nor was there any sun.

Maybe at that point, the conditions were different. I suppose I’ll leave that to someone who knows more about the topic.
The structure with the peculiar roof shape is Parque Martí. It was the base camp for the movie Fast and Furious when they filmed in Havana.
The place deserves a post of its own. In the time when my parents were young, it was the most important and largest sports complex in this area of the city.
According to my mom, it was a beautiful place—a tribute to sports.
Here’s another photo of the peculiar meteorological phenomenon.
In this one, it didn’t look much like a rainbow, just a red glow.

At least I hadn’t experienced it before, and I didn’t expect my phone to capture it so well.
The Sunset
Of course... since I was already at the Malecón, the sunset couldn’t be missed.
This time, it was a sunset alone, well, along with my thoughts. But it was just as incredible as when I’m with my partner.
This time, the sunset was partial due to the clouds that kept moving in.

By the end of the day, it rained heavily at night. Several areas of the city were flooded.
Literally, hell broke loose over the city; but the calm before, along with the sea breeze and the rhythm of the waves, created a perfect moment!
See why I don’t like the gym? ;)
Have you ever managed to photograph a storm?
I think photos of these phenomena are spectacular and require skills I don’t have, along with a bit of luck, don’t you think?
Well, that’s all for today.
Thanks for joining me for another sunset :)
Read you soon!

All images in the post are my own

Infernum has its wonders too… one can imagine the beauty of all these phenomena through your photos, so don’t worry. Right now, I don’t have any photos of a storm in my archive. It’s on my list, one of these days I’ll take some. But I’m waiting for the right moment, for it to arrive on its own. I’m not actively chasing it.
Personally, I don't have the patience to search for any shot 😅
I admire those who do and manage to take the best possible photo. In our beloved country, it doesn't give me much peace of mind either, but that day everything played in my favor, although of course, they could have turned out better 😃
Quedaron genial , me gusta como se complementan una con la otra, el cielo en el arcoiris y el atardecer son verdaderamente increibles.
They turned out 'different'; there’s still a lot to improve, but yes, that day I was very lucky, and a good result came out. I'm glad you liked them
