Happy New Year far from the city - January 1, 2025

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you have a great day. Sent from Puncak far from the city. Some people have gone back to work while I'm still here. Sad to hear that two of my friends are working today. They are on office shifts where someone has to stay in the division to act when something happens on the holiday. Yes, it always changes every holiday. Today is their time to stay. 😭

Half of us have gone back today night because we have to work tomorrow too. D-1 working day after a long holiday is a chaotic time. Traffic to the main business place is like a wave of cars and people. Sometimes we have to drive or wait three times longer than usual. I would say no, I don't want it. I'd rather extend it than that. I still live here with my grandmother and her sister to get rid of it. We will stay for 3 more days. There should be fewer people coming back that day.

Happy New Year! Amazing to have the flexibility to work anywhere and avoid the mad rush back to the city. My daughter had to work during the holidays too. She looks forward to the extra holiday pay. LOL! Enjoy your extra days in Puncak!
