🖤 A warm day, a koala, and our new old lens | Yashica ML 200mm
Yesterday we went to the zoo — no real plans, just a change of scenery and a chance to slow down a little.
But somehow it turned into something more.

We decided to bring a vintage telephoto lens we recently found at a flea market — a Japanese Yashica ML 200mm.
We used it on our Sony a7c, and the best part — my husband made the adapter himself and 3D printed it 🛠️

Honestly, we didn’t expect much from this setup…
but now we can say — we absolutely love it.
There’s something very special about the way this lens renders an image.
It’s not clinically sharp, not perfect — but it feels alive.
Soft light, deep shadows, a sense of presence…
like it doesn’t just capture a scene, but slightly interprets it 🎞️
And visually, the lens itself is just as satisfying.
Even though it’s a telephoto, it feels surprisingly elegant — slim, balanced, not overly heavy.
The kind of lens you actually want to carry around all day.
There’s something about that vintage design — simple, tactile, honest 🤍

This koala was just sitting there, completely in its own world.
Honestly… it looked like me after a long work day 😅
Or like any of us at some point — when you just want to curl up and disappear for a bit.

And then, at some point, it slowly lifted its head.

And it really felt like… it suddenly understood life 🧠✨

Moments like this make you realize it’s not only about the place,
and not even just about the subject.
It’s about how you see.
This lens, somehow, captures those quiet, almost invisible moments —
but the ones that feel the most real.
And yeah… looks like it’s staying with us for a long time 🤍
