🖤🤍A trip to Soest || Germany🤍🖤
Hello to everyone who is interested in my post!
On that summer day, my road took me to a small but beautiful city called Zoest. Soest is a city in western Germany, the administrative center of the district of the same name in the Arnsberg district, located in North Rhine—Westphalia.
I came to this city, but on business. There were all the administrative centers where I processed documents. But! I've never walked there. And so, I met a girl who became my friend. She lived there and invited me over for the weekend.
Our goal was the main sights of the city and some places:
đź—ˇ Half - timbered houses
đź—ˇCity gates and city walls
đź—ˇThe oldest hotel in the region "Piligrimhaus", built in 1304.
đź—ˇSt. Patrick's Cathedral, built in 954.
The cathedral is built of the rarest material, which is a real geological phenomenon — green sandstone. The foundation stone of the cathedral was laid, according to the chronicle, in 954 by Archbishop Bruno of Cologne. The mighty bell tower with a height of 83 m impresses with its greatness.
And it is called the Tower of Westphalia, because no other structure in the Westphalian region better reflects the character of the natives of these places.
Right next to St.Patrokli, the Wilhelm Morgner Museum houses temporary art exhibitions and a permanent exhibition of paintings by the well-known Soest expressionist Wilhelm Morgner. His artistic ascent began in 1910-1912, but came to an abrupt end as a result of the First World War. Wilhelm Morgner fell at the age of 26 years at Langemark. However, he left behind a rich life's work, most of which is owned by the city of Soest (about 400 drawings and 56 paintings).
The museum also houses the "Schroth Room", a collection of concrete and post-minimal art by the collector Carl-JĂĽrgen Schroth.
Designed by the architect Rainer Schell from Wiesbaden and built in 1962, the Morgner House itself is a typical building of the early 1960s and thus one of the youngest architectural monuments of the city of Soest.
I took a photo of the museum from the link below:

There are only two photos, because you can't take pictures inside the museum. But 2 photos were allowed to be taken as a keepsake.
There are many plants and trees in the city. Thanks to this, it is very cozy.
And then my new friend decided to show me one very tasty place. For 7 months, I believe that I drank the most delicious beer in Germany there.
What is this place?
Address:
Ulricherstr. 24, 59494 Soest
The food was amazing and the staff was very nice, we got there but we hadn’t booked a table, but they were still able to give us an empty table, and the food was almost instantly ready. Excellent service, amazing food, reasonable prices and amazing atmosphere.
What makes their beer so special? This is a beer of its own production and in addition to the classic options, you can try something extraordinary.
I liked the light beer with banana juice.
BUT! My love! This is a dark beer with raspberry syrup.
If you pass by this city, I definitely advise you to visit some places in it.
And if you decide to go there in November, you will get to a unique festival. There are always different dates, but for a certain period of time the whole city becomes an amusement park.
So beautiful photography! This museum house many good historical. I am sure the visitors who have been stepping on this land must love it and enjoy it as I do. I just hope that one day I could have a chance to explore this place.
Very nice weather around the place.
Beautiful photos, that looks like an amazing place! 🤗
