Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have arrived at another weekend, and that means we have celebrated my favorite day of the week: Caturday on Saturday!

Sometimes the best vantage point is the back of a chair!

It has been a challenging week for the Hoomans.

Both the Mom-Hooman and the Son-Hooman went to hospital for minor surgical procedures right before the weekend, and they are at home... not being able to do much of anything.

The Dad-Hooman has been working overtime to keep up with everyone's needs... so far he has managed not to forget any important snack times, so we are happy!

Thankfully, we have had a couple of nice clear winter days, which means there have been much sought-after sunny spots around the house!

Wanna play?

With extra time on her hands, the Mom-Hooman has been looking at "cat rooms" on the Internet. You know, the kind that has all kinds of shelves, rope and hidey holes mounted on the wall for cats to climb on.

I don't know if we have a suitable room for such a creation, but it surely would be a lot of fun!

Realistically speaking, it seems more likely that we might get a "catio" outside one of the downstairs windows. That would also be really cool!

Meanwhile, we are inching closer to Smudge's 21st birthday, which will make her the oldest cat any of us have known! She continues to be in remarkably good health.

Next week, life will hopefully resume its normal schedule, as the Mom-Hooman continues to recover and starts working again... but it has definitely been fun to hang out with her on the bed while she watches TV.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
