Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have made it to the final weekend of the month of April and that means we have also made it to the final Caturday of April!

Hopefully everybody's weekend is going well so far, and you are enjoying yourselves! Around here we are really enjoying some beautiful spring weather which puts the Hoomans out in their garden, and the cats competing for the best possible sunny spots for naps!

This time of the year is probably my favorite, because the sun is out longer and the house is warmer, but the trees have not yet leafed out to cause shade on the best sleeping spots.

It has even been warm enough for the Hoomans to open the sliding glass doors a couple of times and so I have been enjoying myself in front of the screen door!

It is also nice that the Dad-Hooman is no longer stressed out about those "taxes" he was worried about and can now relax a little bit and enjoy life. I don't like it when my Hoomans are stressed out. We cats are very sensitive to such things.

Thankfully, it looks like we're going to have more quiet days ahead, as the Hoomans have no plans for either visitors or travel in the near future. I like it best when everybody is home and there's not too much going on. Too many strangers through the house makes me nervous.

Most cats are a contradiction: Too many vistors make me nervous but I am also a pretty social cat! Confusing, isn't it?

Speaking of strange and confusing things: Did you know that yesterday was actually "National Hairball Awareness Day?"

I'm not making a joke here... it's a real thing! This day was actually created as a way to increase awareness of cat gastrointestial health and the importance of grooming as part of overall cat health.

While on the topic of cat health, our very old housemate Smudge is doing quite well, particularly after she got her final spring grooming and "haircut."

Free of her thick winter coat, she is literally moving around with much more "spring in her step," which makes all of us very happy!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
