Curator Cat on Caturday: Just Another Lazy Summer Day at Our Place!
Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
So, we have made it to the weekend once more! And since today is Saturday that means it's also Caturday, which is my favorite day of the week! I hope your day has been treating you well and that you have survived the week okay!
So, hey, do you want to be the focus of this week's Caturday post?
We're having a somewhat quiet day today, because the Mom-Hooman has gone to Seattle to visit the Daughter-Hooman again, so I'm at home being a "Bachelor Kitty" with the Dad-Hooman! Well... our dog Daisy and my fuzzy housemate Smudge are both female but still!
You'll notice that a lot of the pictures for this week's Caturday post are of Smudge, because the Dad-Hooman spent a long time brushing her today and then it was time for photographs! I don't mind sharing my blog with Smudge because she's a sweet kitty and she should definitely have her day in the sunshine and spotlight, as well!
Hi, don't I have fabulous whiskers?
Speaking of sunshine, we have plenty of that around. We have the doors and windows open again to let the nice breeze flow through and we are grateful for the warm weather while it lasts!
Otherwise, there's not a whole lot going on. Everything in the Cryptosphere seemed to be fairly quiet this past week. We had that brief uptrend but it doesn't seem to have held up very well, unfortunately and it frequently seems like summertime is a pretty slow time.
Are you gonna be DONE, soon?
A lot of people seemed to be momentarily excited about the Ripple/XRP ruling but that doesn't seem to have had all that much far-reaching effect on anything other than itself. And maybe it wasn't really as significant as we'd like it to be.
I have a feeling that these days we're "fishing" for even the tiniest bits of good news that we can hitch our mood to. Not much to be cheerful about, I suppose...
I see you!
I'm not too concerned though — I'm just going to continue doing my own thing. I have my own little stake here on Hive that I will continue to slowly build, and hopefully something good will come of it. I own a few other bit pieces of crypto here and there but they're very small so I'm not too worried!
There's also the Hive Cats Community which I really need to work on building.
"Proof of cat;" it is MY blog, after all!
And now, I am going to get back to my nap! I hope you have had a fine Caturday and that the rest of your weekend will be great!
I appreciate you stopping by and do feel free to leave me a comment! This is social media, after all, and our community could sure use a little more engagement!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

S M U D G E..!
We love us some Smudge.
My pet humans have been thinking about calling our latest rescue kitten "Smudge" due to the small dark splotch of fur on his forehead. But right now "Blizzard" is winning out. Smudge may be the middle or nickname. We will have to see how much that little smudge of dark fur darkens.
Say Hello to "Blizzard Smudge Briggs" #8 of our inside the household Pookyville Cat Ranch Rescue Sanctuary. 14th overall on rescues kept. 50 somethin' on the critters rescued list over the past 13 years since Samantha Jo started this madness...
Thanks C.C. for all you do for us kits here on the hive. Things might be slow here right now. But we will keep on purring, napping, and hed bonkin'
This slow down gives us time to stop and smell the 🌹 roses.
Hey. I think I will add a little to this and make it a Caturday Day After Post!
Well, thanks for stopping by and visiting!
Regardless of name, that's a precious one you have there! A white cat with a tiny dark spot on the head is actually somewhat of a genetic rarity; black with a tiny bit of white is relatively common. It's probably good if you stay with "Blizzard," because there's a good chance the "smudge" will gradually fade away somewhere between 12-18 months. Unless the tail is also dark. Cat genetics is a messy business!
Thanks for the kind words! It's always good to smell the roses... and sometimes to also eat them. Just a little. The Hoomans get sort of cranky if I chew too much on them...
