Curator Cat: Lazy Summer Caturday for the Fluffy Crew!

Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Welcome to another weekend edition, as we celebrate my favorite day of the week: CATURDAY! For 20+ years, cat lovers around the web have been sharing "Cats on Saturday," and it's defintely a tradition we love, here at our place!

Napping in the sun, on the sunny side of the house

Summer is now in full swing here; We have long sunny and dry days and it has become quite warm. The Hoomans keep the windows open most of the time so we can lie in the breeze in front of the screens and at the right time of the day we can take naps in the sunny spots while the fresh breeze floats over us.

The grass outside the window is slowly turning from green to brown as the absence of rain changes the look of the landscape. We are actually in a drought now.

We watch the Kitty TV outside... which currently includes a lot of our resident quail having tiny babies parading by. Kinda makes you wish you were an outside cat!

No, not really...

Couple of days ago we had a visit by a raccoon which was immediately outside the window. It seemed to get a bit agressive towards the cats in the window.

Our visitor even stucks its tongue out at us!

The experience traumatized our Shangri to some degree. It seems like at some point he may have had an unfortunate or painful encounter with a raccoon as a baby kitten.

Anyway, he hid in the closet for two days before he came back out again and now he's slowly back to behaving like his usual laid-back self.

The Hoomans are very busy of course, because it seems like this thing they call "working" never stops... even when the day is much better spent taking a nap!

But we can let them get away with it, because they say that it's so that they will be able to buy cat treats and food for us. That's fine, as long as they remember to spend plenty of time playing with us!

Smudge doesn't care about working Hoomans, but she DOES care about her treats!

On a more positive note, the Hoomans are in a better mood as a result of the crypto markets having a positive week.

I can well understand that we all get tired of just seeing things always going in a downwards spiral. Hopefully the current uptrend will actually hold for a while... that would be nice!

Sleeping the day away!

And that's about all for this week's Caturday update! I hope your Caturday was a good one, and that the rest of your weekend is peaceful and enjoyable.

Thanks for coming to visit our cat blog, and we hope to see you again!

=^..^=

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
