Curator Cat: Happy Independence Day From Our Fluffy Crew!
Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
I hope this week has been treating you well, and for those of you here in the USA that you're looking forward to this coming holiday weekend!

For our furry and Hooman friends here in the USA, today — July 4th — marks the Independence Day celebrations.
Many are out there celebrating with parties and picnics and, of course fireworks! Now that we are in the height of summer, hopefully we will have nice sunny days wherever it is you're going for your picnic.
Relaxation time!
A Cat's Prayer:
However, I would like to make a request of those of you who have cats and dogs in your lives — that you may or may not be celebrating with — that you remember that while you may think that fireworks and loud explosions of light in the sky are exciting, your furry friends are likely to be confused and scared by them.
So, if you're going out to celebrate and leaving your furry companions at home, remember to give them safe places to hide and perhaps it would be a good idea to leave the music playing, or the TV on while you're out, so that there is a friendly and familiar sound when the fireworks go off.
A moment of playfulness
If you have Feline companions — who tend to be particularly nervous around sudden loud noises — leave a closet door open or make sure there is a blanket or cat bed under the bed so there is something that feels like a safe place where we can hide.
Whereas our Hoomans are headed out to spend the afternoon with friends, they have promised to be back home well before dark, so we will not be alone when the fireworks start!
Caught in the sunbeams!
With that out of the way, we do hope that you enjoy a lovely celebration with your families this weekend! And we appreciate you stopping by our little cat blog for this short update and hope to see you again tomorrow for Caturday!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

My cat is fearless to thunder, annoyed at the sound of high winds, but is terrified of loud fire works. Though the quite ones are not nearly as agitating to him.
i hope folks heed you're warming as losing a pet(even temporarily) is rough on both pet and owner.
