Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have made it to the weekend once again, and that also means we have made it to my favorite day of the week: Caturday; that day when we get to post pictures of our Feline friends all around the Internet!

What's happening, over there?

We have had a somewhat quiet week around here, all in all. However, the Hoomans have been in a state of somewhat constant worry most of the time because they have been waiting to hear from the Daughter-Hooman that she and her baby would finally be able to come home from the hospital.

That finally happened early this morning, and so now everybody is a little bit happier! It also means that the somewhat gloomy mood has gotten a lot better.

Other than that, it has actually been a nice week with a lot of sunshine for us to lay around in the sun and get our bellies warmed!

Of course when there is not a good sunny spot to nap in, there is always play time in the stairwell! It is always more fun to chase a toy up and down the stairs than just across a straight floor.

Although we don't have a formal date of birth for them, we are getting very close to what would likely be Shangri and Nala's first birthdays!

They came to us at the end of August last year and were somewhere close to four months old when they were adopted into our household.

Shangri is a cool cat!

It's very impressive how much they have grown and become comfortable with their surroundings, from being very nervous and frightened little kittens to being a couple of large and healthy and happy cats!

Already at barely a year of age, Shangri has grown into now being the largest cat in the house, at least by size... and he'll likely keep growing for another 4-6 months. He's a very mellow cat on the whole and very gentle and loving.

Nala is also very sweet, but she is definitely propelled by rocket fuel 90% of the time! If anybody is going to initiate the zoomies at night or in the morning, it's going to be Nala!

While she doesn't much like to be picked up, she's gradually coming to appreciate the benefits of sitting in a Hooman's lap and getting attention. It doesn't happen often, but more and more frequently.

Smudge is gradually growing out he summer coat after her annual shave... maybe next week she will allow us to share!
