Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding areas!

As we recently passed this blog's 5th anniversary, it's perhaps time to pause for a moment of reflection.

This little corner of the community was originally started as a way to bring something fluffier than blockchain and cryptocurrency into Hiveans' daily lives, and also as part of supporting the early efforts of @kona's "Daily Pet Photography" initiative, back on the original "version" of Hive.

Sadly, that initiative has since fallen by the wayside, after having had a really successful run. To some degree, it has been replaced by the Hive Pets Community which has grown quite large and active.

Being "Curator" Cat was also a deliberate expression of wanting to spend some time looking for interesting original content related to our furry, winged and other friends, and encouraging the creators of such content through engagement and upvotes.

Of course, it has been a long drawn-out process for me! After all, you only get so much power to make a difference for others, on 3,000 HP. Things might be different if the price of Hive were higher... but it's not.

Regardless of whether or not we may have weathered the worst of the recent crypto storms, maybe it's time to put a little extra effort into the CuratorCat blog, as I briefly speculated on in my last couple of posts.

"Curator Cat Considers"

Thinking of using this as a title for a periodic series of posts about a variety of topics, mostly from a "commentary" perspective... could be anything from news, to life, to crypto, to politics, to caring for cats, to things happening here in our own community.

All... as seen through the eyes of a cat who is mostly really Zen and prefers naps to excessive drah-mah! And we all know that the Cryptosphere has a lot of that!

I'm also thinking of taking a closer look at some of our many "Community Tribes"* with their own
2nd layer tokens on Hive... make a bit like a virtual "travelogue" of a cat visiting these communities and sharing impressions of activity, membership, rewards, tokens and more.

We all know these communities exist, but does anyone ever pause to actually examine and review them? If they have, the are certainly well-hidden!

Could be a fun thing to do!

Something of Value...

I am giving this some careful thought because if I am to undertake a renewed effort to grow my account, I want it to be with something of VALUE to readers and the greater community... not just "space filler" words!

Besides, I might learn something useful, as a result of studying these things!

Note: This does not mean I'm abandoning things like Caturday and cute cat photos!

At this point, just thinking about my next step.

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
