Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

I hope everybody has had a good week, and are now enjoying this very special weekend!

You see, today is not just Caturday on Saturday, it is also International Cat Day!

As I wrote in my post a couple of days ago this is our special day for cats that happens in August of every year, and has been happening since the year 2002.

Unexpectedly, we have ended up with a very quiet weekend. Originally, we were supposed to have multiple Hooman family members visiting, but they all ended up catching the same cold or flu... and we all decided that it would be best if they didn't spread it around.

Honestly, I can't say that I mind too much... a lot of noise and people in the house is somewhat distressing to us cats.

The Hoomans continue to work on their arts and crafts projects... which is great fun to supervise!

Meanwhile, it looks like our burst of extremely hot weather is over, at least for the moment. Thankfully, it's still warm enough that we can keep the windows open, so the cats can lay in front of the screens and take in the fresh air.

Today, we spent some time looking through old(er) photos... and it's impressive just how many cat photos we have accumulated! There must be close to 10,000 of them!

Of course, not all of them are publication worthy as we invariably end up with quite a bit of what the Hoomans like to call "cat blur," along with "headless" cats and other bloopers.

But we have fun with it... and part of the joy of having this blog on Hive is precisely the sharing with other cat lovers here!

Of course, we felines believe we make endlessly interesting and entertaining subject material... so we'll never run out of photos!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
