Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It is finally the month of June, and here we are on the first Caturday of the new month. I hope this past week has treated you and your feline friends well!

Well, this is new!

The Hoomans were quite busy outside with their gardening today, so I decided to explore some of the Mom-Hooman's decorative trinkets, and came across this fabulous new play toy!

I have no idea what made her think that she would be able to leave a loose strand of small lights laying out on a shelf accessible to cats, so I made those mine in a matter of minutes!

Sadly, she got all hot and bothered when she came in from the garden to get some water to drink and saw me all wrapped up in lights, in the hallway.

I don't know why she got so worked up about it... I would clearly have figured my way out of the situation and done so without hurting myself, while still having some fun!

It's so jumpy and weird!

Otherwise, we have had quite a good start to the month. Sadly, we were a little bit bothered by some significant construction work across the street, which included some very heavy equipment being used to break up a concrete driveway.

This actually scared Shangri and Nala enough that they ended up hiding in the closet for part of the day yesterday, because they tend to be very sensitive to loud noises outside. I can't say that I really blame them, since they spent several weeks in one of the "showcase pens" at the front of a very loud animal shelter before we adopted them.

Thankfully it is now the weekend so the noise has subsided and everybody is out and happily enjoying the house and the sunny spots.

Naturally we're all a little bit saddened and disappointed by the shenanigans going on in the crypto markets, but the Dad-Hooman and I ended up agreeing that we shouldn't be too worried since we aren't really in this "for the money."

Even so, it's amazing to think that just a few years ago my little cat account, with far fewer tokens to my name, was worth several thousand dollars! Now it's value has dropped it just a few hundred.

But we're not going to dwell on it, and instead focus on continuing to have fun with cat pictures and posting Saturday (and other) updates!

This coming week will be the Mom-Hooman's birthday, and the Hoomans are actually going to take a trip for a couple of days. That doesn't mean that we're going to be left alone while they are away... a friend of the Mom-Hooman's will be taking care of us for a couple of days.

Hopefully we'll get some extra treats out of the whole thing!
