Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

While we can already scrap the idea that February is going to be a better month than January, we can celebrate that we have made it to the weekend, and thus to Caturday, my favorite day of the week!

We're having a very nice and peaceful Saturday, because the Son-Hooman — who lives with us in the winter — took off to go to Seattle for the weekend because he wanted to hang out with his friends. Not that he's much of a noisy roommate when he's here but it's just one more energy in the house.

Meanwhile, the Mom-Hooman spent a good part of the day with a friend as well, so it was very quiet around here... which suits me just fine.

Tomorrow, the Hoomans will be very involved in something they call the "Superb Owl." Not too sure about that but owls are not really the friends of cats, even if they are superb! But they assured me there would be lots of food...

After a week of what they sometimes call "false spring," winter is now back and it is windy, cold and rainy, and I'm once again very happy to be an indoor cat! I'm sure my cohorts Shangri and Nala are pretty happy to be indoor cats as well!

The Dad-Hooman continues to be very busy with his artwork. He says that "this is the year when he's going to take it more seriously" and try to actually turn it into a sideline business.

Fine by me! I really like it when he is working in his creative space and I can supervise. I even have a bed in the middle of the table so I can lay there and be comfortable while telling him what to do.

It's a fairly typical scene that I will be in my basket in the middle of the table while Shangri and Nala are in the cat tower by the window. Such is life around here!

Also wanted to share just another reminder that February is National Cat Health Month, so if you have feline friends in your life maybe this month would be a good time to book an appointment at the vet for a health check up.

Cat health does matter, and it's much easier if we catch potential problems during routine check-ups, rather than later when a serious condition might have had time to build.

I've been considering whether to start posting at midweek as well to share some of the many cat pictures we have. The humans always take more pictures in the winter when the sun is fairly low in the sky and shines in through the windows, creating many sunny spots.

When you have four cats in a household... and two Hoomans with cameras and phones always handy, there tend to be a lot of pictures!

I don't really want to talk about crypto because it's just too sad at the moment, so I guess we'll end here by saying thanks for coming to visit our cat blog!
