Springleaf After the Rain

As promised, here are the photos from today's visit to Springleaf Nature Park. It was a relaxing walk since the weather wasn’t too warm. It had rained earlier in the morning, so the park felt and looked especially fresh. The greenery appeared more saturated, which made the photos turn out even better.

I enjoy this kind of timing because I get to soak in just the right amount of morning sunshine. I say that because I once visited the park around noon, and it was uncomfortably hot—it almost gave me a sunburn! 😂 After that experience, I promised myself not to go at that time again. It was just too inconvenient.

Originally, I had planned to visit the park between 6–7 AM to catch the sunrise over the trees. However, I ended up arriving about an hour and a half late. Still, even at 8 AM, the weather felt just right. I think the tall trees helped keep the area cool with their shade, which made the walk even more enjoyable.

My main goal for this visit was to capture video clips for my YouTube page. It’s been two weeks since my last upload, so I wanted to add new content today. I'm still reviewing the footage to plan how I’ll piece everything together into one video. Hopefully, I can finish it today and get it uploaded for viewing.

I wish I could share the video in this post, but I don’t have enough time at the moment. Still, I’ll definitely post it once I’ve completed the final edit.

For this post, I’ll simply share the photos I took using my DJI Osmo Pocket 2. I don’t usually take photos with my phone because I prefer not to switch devices during the walk—it feels a bit stressful to do that. Thankfully, the Pocket 2 has a one-click operation to switch between video and photo mode, which makes things really convenient. The photo quality is decent too.

It may not match the quality of a DSLR, but it still does a great job of capturing the beauty of nature.

Overall, it was a peaceful and refreshing visit to Springleaf Nature Park. I’m glad I was able to capture some moments to share and hopefully inspire others to explore nature too. Stay tuned for the video, I’ll be posting it as soon as it’s ready!

Can totally relate about not going at noon 😅 I once made the mistake of hiking under the midday sun, instant regret! Your 8 AM timing seems perfect. The lighting in your photos is just so soft and pretty
