My entry to the #monomad challenge: Kampong Glam’s Living Art
Man, my daily grind has turned into a whirlwind of running errands and zipping around the city. Sure, it’s physically draining, but I gotta say, it’s actually doing wonders for my mental health. Being out and about beats being cooped up in the office all day. I’m loving the variety; it keeps things fresh, plus I get a good bit of exercise from all the walking.
The best part? I get to share all the cool stuff I stumble upon during my commutes.
Today, I found myself cruising through Bugis. It’s one of those spots where you’ve got killer shopping malls, awesome restaurants, and some rad pubs. It’s a prime hangout after a long day at work; totally vibing with the city’s energy.
What’s even cooler is that Bugis has become a hotspot for street artists. It’s epic that the city’s letting these creatives take over and make something amazing.
Kampong Glam, in particular, is the perfect spot for this street art explosion. With its maze of pedestrian-only streets and alleys, it’s like a giant canvas waiting to be filled.
There’s this alley where the entire stretch of shophouses is covered in wall art from end to end. It’s seriously impressive to see how the artists have come together to transform the space.
And then there’s this massive piece of art that uses multiple levels of wall space; it’s so big, you could probably spot it from a mile away. The artists here are making a bold statement: creativity knows no bounds. As long as there’s space, they’ll turn it into something truly spectacular!
In the end, it’s clear that these vibrant neighborhoods are more than just places to hang out; they’re living canvases that reflect the city's pulse and creativity. Each corner of Bugis and Kampong Glam tells its own story through stunning street art, making every visit an adventure. So next time you're wandering around, keep your eyes peeled; you never know what kind of artistic gem you might discover!

Nice captures of Haji Lane area!
It’s a good that they install shaders over the walkways. Makes it bearable to walk at noon 😆

Oh most of my pictures are color street art pictures. I just haven't found the right place/group to post them in yet. So much amazing street art around my Brooklyn neighborhood. Those people following my actifit reports some of the cool street art when I manage to remember to post!
You may try the photography lovers community, I think there are active curators in that group as well.
