🌟🎶🥁🎷A quick glimpse of the🎆🎇 Muarang Festival 2023✨🎉🎊

Hello Hivers!

It's the end of Sunday. I'm already feeling the excitement as I look forward to a new week. I had a great time this weekend so it's now time to move on to the weekdays of work. I think my activities this past weekend are more than enough to energize me in the coming week, so let's go!

Yesterday, I shared my experience in the Marina Bay area and showed a side of this city that is recognizable to tourists. I also had a chance to witness the Muarang Festival at the Theaters by the Bay. It's a festival of traditional Malay & Indonesian music and dance.

According to the presenter, Muarang means that it's the meeting of different ethnical cultures at the river mouth to share knowledge, arts, and traditions with other ethnical cultures.

The whole performance was a collaboration of different performing groups from Singapore and Indonesia. I think it's amazing how this kind of tradition can make a stand in the ever-changing modern world. I think that it's good that traditional music and dance are being preserved in this time and age.

As soon as the light changed, I knew that it was time for the performance to begin.

The opening performance is a collaborative dance between several dance crews. There is also a crew of musicians who are playing the instruments behind the performers. The music is lively and it sounds like a celebration. The dance goes well with the music which showcases the festive mood of different cultures.

The opening performance reminded me of the movie Moana.

After a few introductory remarks from the presenter, the second presentation commenced. The theme is different from the first performance because the movements are gentle and the music feels like the serenity of nature.

After the second performance, I already decided to go to the Sands building to continue my photowalk.

I did enjoy the presentation at the Muarang Festival but it's now time for me to go to my original plan for this evening. Before, I had to take a last photo of the Theaters by the Bay to show how amazing the architecture of this structure is.
