Recordando una visita el Buque Escuela Simón Bolívar

Saludos a toda la comunidad Hive, hoy estamos de vuelta recordando días muy agradables. Revisando respaldos de datos, buscando información, viendo fotos entre otras cosas encontré algunas sobre una visita que realice con mi esposa y mi hijo al Buque Escuela Simón Bolívar un 2012 en Cumaná.

Remembering a visit to the Simón Bolívar School Ship.

Greetings to the entire Hive community, today we are back remembering very pleasant days. Reviewing data backups, searching for information, looking at photos, among other things, I found some about a visit I made with my wife and son to the Simón Bolívar Training Ship in Cumaná in 2012.

Viendo estas fotos me puse a pensar y recordar, pero para ponerlos en contexto tengo que hacer una referencia geográfica, Cumaná ciudad costera, yo vivía prácticamente a 5 minutos del mar, y en este caso a 15 minutos caminando del Muelle de Puertos de Sucre, lugar donde siempre atracan los barcos, incluso desde los apartamentos y más allá se escuchaban el retumbar de ese sonido característico, las bocinas de los grandes barcos pesqueros, atuneros, cargueros cuando anunciaban la salida. Me quede con la curiosidad así que investigue y se les llama Sirena de Niebla. No conocía el Buque Escuela Simón Bolívar a pesar de estar de visita en Cumaná varias veces y yo vivir tan cerca.

Looking at these photos, I started to think and remember, but to put them in context I have to make a geographical reference, Cumaná coastal city, I practically lived 5 minutes away from the sea, and in this case, 15 minutes walking from the Sucre Ports Pier, a place where boats always dock, even from the apartments and beyond you could hear the rumbling of that characteristic sound, the horns of the large fishing boats, tuna boats, cargo ships when they announced the departure. I stayed curious so I investigated and they are called Foghorn. I did not know the Simón Bolívar School Ship even though I visited Cumaná several times and I live so close to it.

En esta oportunidad nos dimos el gusto de conocer el Buque Escuela Simón Bolívar, como le dicen el Navegante sin Fronteras, buque insignia de nuestro país que ha ganado muchos reconocimientos internacionales, así que no podía dejar pasar esta oportunidad.

Esta historia sucede en el 2012, nos enteramos que el buque estaba de visita en Cumaná, y como siempre uno entera a ultima hora, era su último día aceptando visitantes, así que sin más le dije a mi esposa "Vamos que para después es tarde..." por cierto era de tardecita, por eso las fotos que les presento son ya casi en el ocaso.

In this opportunity, we had the pleasure of getting to know the Simón Bolívar Training Ship, also known as the Navigator without Borders, the flagship of our country that has won many international awards, so I couldn't miss this opportunity.

This story takes place in 2012, we found out that the ship was visiting Cumaná, and as always, we found out at the last minute, it was their last day accepting visitors, so without further ado, I told my wife, "Let's go because it will be too late later..." by the way, it was already evening, that's why the photos I present to you are almost at sunset.

A pesar de haber llegado a eso de 5:00 pm nos toco esperar que la cola bajará un poco, así que me puse a tomar fotos de la vista hacia Cumaná, hacia la zona los depósitos del muelle, Barrio de Pescadores El Guapo, Urb Bermúdez, allí se ven los apartamentos a 15 minutos, se logra visualizar techo del Gimnasio 26 de Octubre, Urbanización San Luis, al fondo el cerro de Cascajal, Silos de Monaca. en fin Cumaná nos muestra unas vistas espectaculares.

Despite having arrived at around 5:00 pm, we had to wait for the line to decrease a bit, so I started taking pictures of the view towards Cumaná, towards the area of the dock warehouses, El Guapo Fishermen's Neighborhood, Bermúdez Urbanization, there you can see the apartments 15 minutes away, it is possible to see the roof of the 26 de Octubre Gymnasium, San Luis Urbanization, in the background the Cascajal hill, Monaca Silos. In short, Cumaná shows us some spectacular views.

Ahora si estábamos más cerca, y siguen las fotos, me doy cuenta de que tiene una ¿sirena?, el sol de frente en casi pleno ocaso no deja mucho a la cámara. Me toco googlear y se llama Mascarón de Proa, es una mujer en dorado, con una túnica con los colores de la bandera de Venezuela. Pero sin dudas el ocaso es espectacular. El buque es impactante al estar frente a el y pensar que ha recorridos muchas aguas marítimas.

Now if we were closer, and here come the photos, I realize that it has a mermaid?, the sun in almost full sunset doesn't leave much to the camera. I had to google it, and it's called a "Mascarón de Proa", a woman in gold, with a tunic in the colors of the Venezuelan flag. But without a doubt, the sunset is spectacular. The ship is impressive being in front of it and thinking about the many maritime waters it has traveled.

Y al fin logramos subir y pasar un rato contemplando el Buque y el ocaso.

And finally we managed to go up and spend some time contemplating the Ship and the sunset.
