💛💚 My travel to San Juan de los Cayos, Falcon, Venezuela 💛💚
On July 16th @takeru255 and I went on a trip to San Juan de los Cayos, Falcón State, Venezuela. It was an exciting experience after many years of not having returned to the beach, although I see myself with a lack of hair, that was the only part of that trip that I did not like, and I must admit that I was a little embarrassed to show images of myself like that. Here I want to show you some things that I did at that time and some places that I visited.
El 16 del pasado Julio @takeru255 y yo nos fuimos de viaje hacia San Juan de los Cayos, Estado Falcón, Venezuela. Fue una experiencia emocionante tras muchos años de no haber vuelto a la playa, aunque me veo con falta de cabello, esa fue la única parte de ese viaje que no me gustó, y debo admitir que me daba un poco de pena mostrar imagenes de mí así. Aquí te quiero enseñar algunas cosas que hice en aquel momento y de algunos lugares que visité.
One of the main things I did on the trip was to visit San Juan beach, which was 4 blocks from the house where we were staying. This specific area is not very touristy, in fact it is more of a fishing area, but you can be there with complete freedom.
Una de las principales cosas que hice en el viaje fue visitar la playa de San Juan, la cual quedaba a 4 calles de la casa donde nos estábamos quedando, esta zona en específico no es muy turística, de hecho es más pesquera, pero si se puede estar ahí con toda la libertad.
On July 20th, our friend @llave, who hosted us at his house, took me and Takeru for a walk while we collected some clams known as "Chipi Chipi". Our brother wanted to make us a delicious soup for dinner. I learned some things about capturing these creatures, for example, that they are found on the seashore, they can only be found at dawn because that is the time when they are out of the sea, curiously they have great agility to hide in the sand, I also learned that they are found in the holes that are seen in the first image, some are found like the second photograph, I was also a little scared by the sound they make when they are captured.
El día 20 de Julio, nuestro amigo @llave, quien nos dió hospedaje en su casa, me llevó a mi y a Takeru para dar un paseo mientras recolectamos algunas almejas que se conocen como ¨Chipi Chipi¨. Ya que nuestro hermano nos quería hacer una deliciosa sopa para cenar. Aprendí algunas cosas sobre la captura de estas criaturas, por ejemplo, que se encuentran a la orilla del mar, solo se pueden encontrar al amanecer porque es el momento dónde están fuera del mar, curiosamente tienen una gran agilidad para esconderse dentro de la arena, también supe que se encuentran en los agujeros que se ven en la primera imagen, algunos se encuentran como la segunda fotografía, también me asustó un poco el sonido que hacen cuando son capturados.
Behind @labella.nay's house is the Salina, and since I'm not used to this type of environment I noticed simple things immediately, for example the salty air, I spent the entire first week feeling the salty air every time I breathed or swallowed water, the sensation of salt in my throat was inevitable, as was the smell of very strong fish some days in that area, also its surroundings are a large battlefield of white flute crabs, they are undoubtedly a spectacle that can be observed at sunset.
Detrás de la casa de @labella.nay se encuentra la Salina, y como yo no estoy acostumbrado a este tipo de ambientes noté cosas sencillas de inmediato, por ejemplo el aire salado, duré toda la primera semana sintiendo el aire salado cada vez que respiraba o tragaba agua, la sensación de sal en mi garganta era inevitable, al igual que el olor de algunos días de pescado muy fuerte ahí en esa zona, también sus alrededores son un gran campo de batalla de cangrejos flautas de color blancos, sin duda son un espectáculo que se pueden observar en el atardecer.
Here I leave you this image of one of my footprints in the salt flat, this land is usually very soft because of the waters around it, it is a different land than the beach, I must admit that I really liked walking there, since you could see a kind of coconut cemetery, many coconut shells that looked nice around.
Aquí les dejo esta imagen de una de mis huellas en la salina, esta tierra suele ser muy suave por las aguas alrededor es una tierra distinta al de la playa, debo admitir que me agradaba mucho caminar por ahí, ya que se veían una especie de cementerio de cocos, muchas conchas de cocos que se veían agradables alrededor.
Here I went with @llave to a farm where he sometimes works and it is relatively close. In fact, more than his bosses, his friends, who plant a variety of fruits and vegetables, are there. We went to receive some crops that they were going to give him. They gave us melons, mangoes, bell peppers, and sweet peppers. In the lake that you can see in the photo where I appear, they say there are some marine animals like alligators that keep people away from there.
Aquí fuí con @llave a una finca donde a veces el trabaja y queda relativamente cerca, de hecho se encuentran ahí más que sus jefes, a sus amigos, quienes plantan una variedad de frutas y verduras, fuimos a recibir unas cosechas que le iban a regalar, nos regalaron Melones, Mangos, Pimentón y Ají Dulce. En el lago que se ve en la foto donde aparezco dicen que hay algunos animales marinos como caimanes que mantienen a la gente alejados de allí.
I also had the pleasure of meeting these two beautiful birds, one is Braulio and Juanita who are the companions of @llave and @labella.nay, these two birds are very faithful to their owners and at the end of the day it was very nice to see this macaw enjoying the winds that blow, and Juanita is a talkative parrot who likes to talk to anyone who pays attention to her.
También tuve el placer de conocer a estas dos hermosas aves, uno es Braulio y a Juanita quienes son las compañías del @llave y @labella.nay, estas dos aves son muy fieles a sus dueños y entre el final del día era muy agradable ver a esta guacamaya disfrutar de los vientos que hacen, y Juanita es una lorita parlanchina que le gusta hablar con todo aquel que le preste atención.
This area suffered one of the most regrettable events that usually occur in this country, and that is that corruption managed to delude the few inhabitants of this area with the hope of being able to have a water desalination plant, they took over a large piece of land where the project was started and then those responsible for this project kept the materials and abandoned the planned project.
Esta zona sufrió uno de los sucesos más lamentables que suelen ocurrir en este país, y es que la corrupción logró ilusionar a los pocos habitantes de esta zona con la esperanza de poder tener una desalinizadora de agua, tomaron un extenso terreno en donde se inició el proyecto y luego los responsables de este proyecto se quedaron los materiales y dejaron en el abandono lo planeado.
I am very grateful to my friends for letting us go there and welcoming us with open arms. It was definitely a beautiful experience that I will always carry in my heart, along with the wonderful people I met there. Thanks to them, I ate delicious fish that I had never eaten before. Of all of them, my favorite was shark. This is the first time I've shared my experience here in this community. I'm excited that you've read my story. Thank you, and see you next time.
Estoy muy agradecido con mis amigos por dejarnos ir hasta allá y recibirnos con los brazos abiertos, sin duda fue una experiencia hermosa que llevaré siempre en mi corazón junto a las maravillosas personas que conocí ahí, gracias a ellos comí muy ricos pescados que jamás había comido, sin duda de todos ésos mi favorito fue el tiburón. Es primera vez que comparto aquí en esta comunidad, estoy emocionado por que me hayan leído, gracias y hasta la próxima.
