As I wander through the city, I scan my surroundings to focus on what, in the hurried pace of daily life, tends to go unnoticed, yet defines the soul, history, and function of a space.

Sometimes I am drawn to the comical, the unexpected, and color, in an attempt to isolate the object from its broader context. Detail, geometry, and the abstract are essential to constructing the narrative of the gaze.

The photographs were taken in the city where I live, Coimbra, Portugal, with a Fujifilm X-T3 camera and edited in Adobe Lightroom.

Ao deambular na urbe faço uma varrimento no olhar para focar naquilo que, no ritmo apressado do dia a dia, tende a passar despercebido, mas que define a alma, a história e a funcionalidade de um espaço.

Por vezes sou seduzido pelo cómico, pelo imprevisto, pela cor, para tentar isolar o objeto do seu contexto geral. O detalhe, a geometria, o abstrato, são fundamentais para construir a narrativa do olhar.
