Introducción - Introduction

¡Hola! ¿Qué tal, crypto amigos? ¿Cómo están? ¡Yo espero que muy bien! En el día de hoy vengo a traerles un post un tanto inusual para mi blog. Y si, como podrán adivinar por el título, en el día 31 del mes de Julio en el presente año, hice un viajecito a la nieve junto a mi novia Gala y otras personas con las cuales compartíamos el mismo medio de transporte. Nuestro destino era El Puente del Inca, ubicado en la provincia de Mendoza, Argentina, cerquita pero muy cerquita a Chile, el país vecino, para luego quedarnos en un costado de la ruta jugando con la nieve, que ese era en realidad el propósito de este viaje. Me tomé unas lindas fotitos del recorrido en sí y de los lugares por donde pasamos y me decidí a subir éste post.

Pero bueno antes que nada me gustaría saludar a todas las personas de ésta increíble comunidad, estuve dando unas vueltas por aquí, viendo algún que otro post y realmente es hermoso todo, hubieron muchos que me gustaron realmente. Quiero agradecer a los encargados de ésta comunidad por darnos la oportunidad de publicar éste tipo de contenido en Hive.

Hello, crypto friends, how are you? I hope you're doing great! Today I come to bring you a somewhat unusual post for my blog. And yes, as you can guess from the title, on the 31st of July this year, I made a little trip to the snow with my girlfriend Gala and other people with whom we shared the same means of transport. Our destination was El Puente del Inca, located in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, close but very close to Chile, the neighboring country, and then we stayed on the side of the road playing with the snow, which was really the purpose of this trip. I took some nice pictures of the trip itself and of the places we went through and I decided to upload this post.

But first of all I would like to greet all the people of this incredible community, I was walking around here, seeing some posts and really everything is beautiful, there were many that I really liked. I want to thank the people in charge of this community for giving us the opportunity to publish this kind of content in Hive.

El viaje - The trip

Salimos desde San Martín, Mendoza, el lugar de donde soy oriundo, a las 6:30 AM. Nos pasó a buscar una trafic que habíamos contratado y emprendimos rumbo hacía nuestro destino. El primer lugar interesante por el que pasamos fue Potrerillos. Es un localidad ubicada sobre la cordillera de Los Andes en el Departamento de Luján de Cuyo. Para ingresar teníamos que pasar por un túnel que atraviesa la montaña para luego acceder a lo que sería el Dique Potrerillos, las vistas empezaban a ser bastante prometedoras.

We left San Martin, Mendoza, the place where I am from, at 6:30 AM. We were picked up by a traffic we had hired and set off towards our destination. The first interesting place we passed through was Potrerillos. It is a town located on the Andes mountain range in the Department of Luján de Cuyo. To enter we had to go through a tunnel that crosses the mountain to then access what would be the Potrerillos Dam, the views were beginning to be quite promising.

Aún nos encontrábamos muy lejos de nuestro destino, aproximadamente unos 80-90km de distancia por recorrer, pero decidieron detenerse en un rinconcito del lugar para tomar unas fotos y de paso estirar las piernas ya que llevábamos 1 hora y media de viaje ya. Decirles que afuera estaba muy frío, hacían unos 6 grados celsius, pero ahí fui, todo valiente, a tomar fotos para ustedes 💪🤣. Se podía ver de fondo la imponente montaña con los picos totalmente nevados.

We were still far away from our destination, about 80-90km to go, but decided to stop in a little corner of the place to take some pictures and stretch our legs since we had been traveling for an hour and a half. Tell you that it was very cold outside, it was about 6 degrees Celsius, but there I went, all brave, to take pictures for you 💪🤣. You could see in the background the imposing mountain with totally snow-capped peaks.

Retomamos viaje y nuestro próximo destino era Uspallata, simplemente llegamos a ese Departamento porque teníamos que alquilar nuestros trineos y el equipo para la nieve, entonces no tuve tiempo de tomar fotos del lugar ya que veníamos muy atrasados con los horarios y queríamos llegar a la nieve urgentemente.

Estábamos cada vez más cerca de nuestro destino y en el camino hacía el lugar también tome algunas fotos desde el vehículo en el que viajábamos, ya se empezaba a ver nieve en las orillas de la montaña lo cuál me daba esperanzas de que había mucha nieve esperándonos

We resumed our trip and our next destination was Uspallata, we just arrived at that department because we had to rent our sleds and snow equipment, so I did not have time to take pictures of the place since we were very late with the schedules and we wanted to get to the snow urgently.

We were getting closer and closer to our destination and on the way to the place I also took some pictures from the vehicle in which we were traveling, snow was already beginning to be seen on the edges of the mountain which gave me hope that there was a lot of snow waiting for us.

Y sí, por fin llegamos! Tenemos mucha nieve para jugar. Éstas fueron algunas fotos que saqué mientras nos acercábamos a nuestro destino final. La temperatura afuera era de 2 grados celsius y eso que había Sol, mucho Sol.

And yes, we're finally here! We got a lot of snow to play with. These were some pictures I took as we approached our final destination. The temperature outside was 2 degrees Celsius and it was sunny, very sunny.

Llegamos al Puente del Inca y nos encontramos con ésta hermosa criatura 😍 Perdonen pero creo que es parte del paisaje, miren lo hermoso que es 😍. Su nombre es Kawasaky, Kawa para los amigos y decidí hacerle un lugarcito en el blog.

We arrived at the Puente del Inca and we found this beautiful creature 😍 Sorry but I think it's part of the landscape, look how beautiful it is 😍. Her name is Kawasaky, Kawa for friends and I decided to give her a little place in the blog.

Y acá antes ustedes está el grandioso Puente del Inca. Cuenta la leyenda que mucho antes de que los españoles llegaran a América, el heredero al trono del Imperio Incaico estaba afectado de una extraña enfermedad, los curanderos de la época le recomendaron al Rey dirigirse desde Cuzco hasta las vertientes del Puente del Inca para curarse, ya que allí se encontraban unas aguas termales milagrosas, o eso decían. Para que el heredero pudiera cruzar, los guerreros, abrazados unos a otros, formaron un puente humano por el que pasó el inca con su hijo en brazos hasta las aguas termales y es allí donde encontró la cura. Cuando miró hacia atrás para agradecerles a sus guerreros, estos se habían petrificado, creando así el famoso Puente del Inca.

Ese pequeño edificio que se ve al fondo es una capilla que sobrevivió a la avalancha del año 1962. El hotel de las termas que se encontraba justo al lado, donde se ven esas ruinas, no corrió la misma suerte.

And here before you is the grandiose Puente del Inca. Legend has it that long before the Spaniards arrived in America, the heir to the throne of the Inca Empire was affected by a strange disease, the healers of the time recommended the King to go from Cuzco to the slopes of the Inca Bridge to be cured, as there were some miraculous hot springs, or so they said. So that the heir could cross, the warriors, embracing each other, formed a human bridge through which the Inca passed with his son in his arms to the hot springs and that is where he found the cure. When he looked back to thank his warriors, they had petrified, thus creating the famous Bridge of the Inca.

That small building in the background is a chapel that survived the 1962 avalanche. The hot springs hotel that was right next to it, where you can see those ruins, did not suffer the same fate.

Luego de esa hermosa parada, nos dirigimos unos 3 km en dirección a Penitentes, paramos la trafic en un costado de la ruta y bajamos para jugar con la nieve y disfrutarla. A pesar de que hacía 4 semanas que no nevaba, la nieve estaba tan acumulada de un lado de la montaña que la mayor parte del tiempo te hundías y te llegaba hasta la rodilla.

After that beautiful stop, we drove about 3 km towards Penitentes, stopped the trafic on the side of the road and went down to play with the snow and enjoy it. Even though it had not snowed for 4 weeks, the snow was so accumulated on one side of the mountain that most of the time it was knee deep.

Ah por cierto, nos dispusimos con mi novia a armar un pequeño pero divertido muñeco de nieve al cual le pusimos Rodolfo. Ella estaba muy ilusionada con hacerlo, tanto así que trajo una bafanda, gorro, una zanahoria y dos botones para darle mucho amor 😂. Así quedo nuestra "obra de arte".

Oh by the way, we set out with my girlfriend to build a small but fun snowman which we named Rodolfo. She was very excited to do it, so much so that she brought a scarf, hat, a carrot and two buttons to give him lots of love 😂. This is how our "work of art" turned out.

El lugar estaba muy lindo, había mucha gente y un ambiente espléndido para divertirse con tranquilidad. La nieve acumulada, por lo que nos comentaron, era de unos 45-50cm, ideal para usar nuestros trineos. He aquí un gif con un poquito del paisaje que nos rodeaba. La temperatura ya era -2 grados celsius.

The place was very nice, there were a lot of people and a splendid atmosphere to have fun in peace and quiet. The accumulated snow, from what we were told, was about 45-50cm, ideal for using our sleds. Here is a gif with a little bit of the landscape that surrounded us. The temperature was already -2 degrees Celsius.

Y bueno, dimos uso a nuestro trineo que habíamos alquilado anteriormente en Uspallata y nos tiramos de la montaña cuesta abajo, realmente es una experiencia y única muy difícil de describir con palabras, los que hayan realizado ésta actividad o alguna parecida me entenderán seguramente.

And well, we made use of our sled that we had previously rented in Uspallata and we jumped off the mountain downhill, it really is a unique experience and very difficult to describe in words, those who have done this activity or something similar will surely understand me.

Palabras finales - Final words

Bueno espero que el blog haya sido de su agrado, realmente estoy muy contento de poder haber hecho éste viaje, mi novia no conocía la nieve así que fue algo lindo para ella, yo disfruté muchísimo también. No me quedan palabras de agradecimiento a toda la comunidad de Hive ya que sin ésta yo nunca habría podido realizar éste viaje ya que el mismo fue pagado con mis blogs diarios y estoy muy feliz por ello.

Well I hope the blog has been to your liking, I am really very happy to have been able to make this trip, my girlfriend did not know the snow so it was something nice for her, I enjoyed a lot too. I can't thank the whole Hive community enough, without it I would never have been able to make this trip, it was paid with my daily blogs and I'm very happy about it.
