I was thinking about getting in growing. We just finished our greenhouse for our vegetables this year. I will say it looks pretty intimidating.

I am sure you will do great if you tried. It isn't too much different than growing vegetables. If you can pay attention to the veggies as they grow, you can grow weed. There are a lot of differences but I am sure you will pick up on them easily.
How long does it take to grow form seeds?
It really all depends on the strain and if it is an auto flower or photo period. The gorilla glue autos I am growing right now take about 9 weeks from seed to harvest. The GDP I am starting soon will take about 4 months or more.
Auto would be like a veg and photo would be under certain light conditions to make it happen, correct?
Ya, autos have been bred to have a shorter life cycle and to automatically move from veg to flower. With photos, you have to change their light cycle to a 12/12 to force them into flower.
