Rural games are disappearing due to modernity. Village legends are dying out thanks to the advent of video games. Even old people have forgotten the names of the sports they spent their days playing in childhood. Among the popular games of Bangladesh were Kanamachi, Dariyabandha, Tas, Ludu, Football, Handball, Kabaddi or Hadudu, Latim, etc. Among these games, there is some practice of playing football, but almost all games have been lost.

Hadudu playgrounds usually have a specific size. The participants of the game discuss the size of the place where they will play and fix the boundaries of the playing field by marking all around. But no matter how big or small the field is in terms of quantity, its shape is rectangular.

The field is divided into two halves by the spot in the middle. Each group takes position in each division. On the other hand, the size of the Kabaddi field is 12.50 meters in length and 10 meters in width. According to the rules, a player from one side attacks the other side's court. At this time he tries to come back by touching any player of the other side while audibly making Hadoodu, Kabaddi Kabaddi sounds.

The opposite side tries to hold him captive. If that player can return to his court holding his breath, his team gets the point. And if the player runs out of breath within the time limit, the opposing team gets a point.

Hadudu is not only the national game of Bangladesh but also the national game of six neighboring states of India. The states are: Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Punjab.

However, the game is known by different names in different provinces. In Tamil Nadu the game is known as Kabaddi, Sadugudi, Gudugudu, Palinjadugudu and Sadugudatthi.

The game probably originated as an individual and group practice of preventing enemy attacks and simultaneously practicing counter-attack tactics. The conditions for success in this game are physical and mental agility, muscle agility, lung power and endurance, quick thinking and decision-making ability and the ability to apply it. Also important is the ability to understand the opponent's strategy and attitude.
