DECLUTTER, EARN, CONNECT!

How about it? You can declutter your home to earn some Hive or Hbd and make new connections.

How’s that for a triple perk?!

When I was asked by @lizelle to help spread the word and bring awareness to this new initiative I was delighted to contribute.

When I first read about it I immediately thought of it as an online yard sale.

Let what you once loved become someone’s new love!

I like that Lizelle added to the logo pre-loved finds because that’s exactly what we’re passing on.

Sometimes we just fall out of love with things and that’s okay. There’s a time and season for everything and that season for certain belongings might have come to an end for you. Instead of those things just laying around and feeling lonely and useless, why not let them bring joy to another home? It’s time for those items to be dusted off and passed on to be someone else’s loved finds. 😉

I love seeing more and more amazing ideas being brought to our beloved Hive chain. Let’s help keep building and growing our place by participating in this wonderful initiative.

In order for this to take off well there has to be some involvement on our part and hopefully soon there will be more and more of you embracing this project. There’s benefits for both buyers and sellers so hop to it! 😄

As with any form of selling and advertising you definitely want to be sure to do your best at intriguing your potential customers. I’m going to share just a few quick tips on taking photos of your items for display.

DON’t do this…

OUCH! My eyes! 😑

Or this…

Uhhhm…what’s being advertised here? 🤔

Please DO this…

You want to make sure all of your product photos are as clear as possible and showing the entire item.

Only one photo is required but if showing different dimensions of the item would be helpful with the success of your sale I’d say go for it. 👌🏽

For instance, showing the back (also sides and insides if applicable) of an item will help to give a complete feel of what one is considering.

The photographer in me would want to edit out all of the impurities and scratches from the photo but I wouldn’t want to give a false description of what someone is purchasing. Along with that it’s important to be as accurate as possible when describing the condition of your item.

Make sure to join the Hive Thrifted Community and read over all of the rules.

To learn about the details, requirements and how to’s when setting up your own shop (which is essentially making posts about your pre-loved goods), please visit @lizelle’s post that wonderfully introduces this new initiative Hive Thrifted - Your Hive/HBD Pre-loved Bargain Store.

At the end of her post she gives an example of what a Hive Thrifted blog should consist of and look like. You’ll see how to list out your shipping/posting info, what details to include when describing your goods, the correct way to validate your images, pricing, tags and more.

One more thing before I go. @Lizelle also mentions about rating your Hive Thrifted experience. This is a great way to help further support one another by sharing how your transactions went.

I strongly encourage you write a review as a buyer and/or seller! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All photos are my own. The Hive Thrifted logo added to the cover image was copied and pasted from the original announcement post of this initiative for advertising purposes per @lizelle.

What’s In Your Shop?

If you’re feeling this idea please feel free to pass along this info or simply after reading the original announcement post reblog it to help bring awareness.

Thanks for your time and support! ❤️

Beautifully said @crosheille, that's exactly what Hive Thrifted is all about.

Thank you so much for writing this awesome blog, Hive Thrifted is still young but once we have more stock on our shelves, and the more fellow citizens connect, we'll start seeing our once-forgotten goods turn into Hive/HBD.

As with Crypto, patience is the name of the game!
It makes more sense letting those pre-loved items wait for a HT buyer than it collecting dust at the back of our cupboards, not so.

Wonderful way to share what we no longer require, every pre-loved item added, will attract more movement on Hive blockchain, win/win helps.

Thank you for your comment. I too think it’s a brilliant initiative. I didn’t create it however, this is the work of @lizelle. I’m just happy to help promote it. 😉

Happy to have found a new community... :) I like this concept, I usually buy a lot of used things, mostly clothes: if it's in good shape, it's welcome in my closet!

And these photography tips are very good, they help make the items for sale attractive 😃.

I'm the same way about used clothes. We mainly shop consignments for our kiddos clothing.

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the tips ~ ☺️
