A Whopping 7 YEARS on Hive!!! ๐
Yo! We gotta first talk about this chicken ๐.
I learned that when hens get excited and happy about laying an egg they make this cackling sound. It sounds a bit like what you read on the above thumbnail.
I figured it would be perfect for helping me bring in 7 years on Hive since the cackling is a celebration.
Iโm here today to celebrate! Whoโs with me?! ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฅณ
Actually I took that photo at a pig farm we recently visited. My sister has been wanting us to get out there so we went and spent a day with her and my nieces.
My kiddos and I couldnโt get over this hen yelling at us every time we opened the top cover to her resting spot. She was so frustrated with us because she did not want to be disturbed while keeping her eggs warm. It was so loud and hilarious ๐.
That face sheโs making in the photo was not of excitement but anger.
After so long I told the kids we better leave her alone before she rose up and pecked one of our noses off lol. I couldnโt resist snapping a photo of her so here she is helping me celebrate. So please letโs still pretend she is really excited about my 7 year Hiversary ๐.
Every year I know I usually have so much to say and go over regarding the previous year. This time however will be a bit more brief.
Hive to me is like a longstanding friendship. I may not lot log on as much as I used to, or be involved as much as Iโd like, but every time I do come around itโs as if not much time has passed by. I get caught back up and in the know in no time. Itโs like we were never apart.
I know that itโs always here when Iโm ready to dive in. Thatโs one of the things I value about this platform and community and about all of you. When we get the time to chat we have a good time doing so. When I have something to post about I can do so whenever Iโm ready.
Itโs pretty much been a smooth ride and journey and Iโm enjoying every bit of it.
One of my goals is to continue raising my HP to have a better vote weight. Iโve been selecting 100% Hive Power for payout on most of my posts.
I also plan to get around the chain more to meet newcomers and catch up with some old timers I havenโt talked to in awhile. Itโs really easy to run out of time for doing other things when leading a community. I have limited time here so I do want to manage it better in order to get around more.
Iโm totally grateful for the years of support I have received and all the love I consistently get from so many of you. I am so glad I made the choice 7 years ago to create an account and start this venture. Iโm in it for the long haul folks ๐ค.

It is crazy to think that it has been 7 years already. I started out on Steemit and switched to Hive when it split. I love the cackling hen, they really do not like to be disturbed, lol.

Oh my gosh it was the coolest and funnest moment of our whole day. I did feel bad for continuing to interrupt her but the way she was yelling at us was just so funny. It was the same octave every time ๐.

Thanks @sofs-su! Yes, it is really a long time. I have never been apart of any social media group or chain for as long as Hive. Lol, yea I guess I am more regular than I realize. That has a lot to do with being committed to our needlework community which I'm grateful for ~

I always love to read from your valuable content as it usually teach me alot about hive and my personal life. I missed those days when you blog frequently. Hopefully time will permit you again my friend. Your needle work Monday community kept waxing stronger and many skills are being nutured through that initiative. I can sight that image of a crocheted shoes up there, your hands are really blessed ma'am.
I will be two years here in October this year and I hope to tarry here just like you. The knowledge I get here daily is worth more than huge dollars, and the the good people who I connect with are just so amazing ๐

Congratulations! That's amazing. Time flies. I think it's about a year less for me. That chicken analogy was a great one. Although to follow the analogy, I have some chickens that barely make a peep. But they still lay wonderful eggs
Thanks so much! Yes, time surely flies by. Oh wow that's good to know about the chickens. So even though they may not celebrate in that way they still lay glorious eggs. I was reading about a woman who figured out their language and understands what their sounds mean. People write to her so she can tell them what their chickens are saying. I thought that was pretty amazing.
That is quite something. If you read the book of Josephus he speaks of how Adam and Eve had conversations with all the animals - before the fall. I believe it. In fact I think they understand us better than we understand them
