Son muchísimas las palabras con las que podemos expresar el inmenso amor ❤️ que todos sentimos por nuestras madres. Tenerla a nuestro lado es el más grande motivo para despertar cada día llenos de motivación y deseos de seguir viviendo. Estar al lado de mi madre me ha hecho muy feliz. Ella siempre ha estado con todos sus hijos 👋🏾 les dedica el tiempo que ella considera a cada uno y ella se satisface viéndonos felices y también acompañándonos en nuestras tristezas. Elegí hacer para ella un hermoso estuche pastillero cuya decoración es una lindísima flor 🌹 porque ella es amante de la naturaleza y muy especialmente de las plantas florales.
There are so many words with which we can express the immense love ❤️ that we all feel for our mothers. Having her by our side is the greatest reason to wake up every day full of motivation and desire to continue living. Being by my mother's side has made me very happy. She has always been with all her children 👋🏾 she dedicates the time she considers to each one and she is satisfied seeing us happy and also accompanying us in our sadness. I chose to make for her a beautiful pillbox case whose decoration in a very pretty flower 🌹 because she is a nature lover and especially of flowering plants.
Justamente antes de comenzar con este proyecto ella me había comentado sobre la cantidad de pastillas que toma diariamente y me enseñó los blíster vacíos que ya tenía en su estuche (uno que también le tejí hace algunos años y el cual ella aún usa y aprecia)
Just before starting this project she had told me about the amount of pills she takes daily and showed me the empty blister packs she already had in her case (one that I also knitted for her a few years ago and which she still uses and appreciates)
Traté de hacer este proyecto sin que ella viera el proceso 😊 ya que quería sorprenderla. Les digo que mi mamá es una señora muy humilde y agradecida, pero también es algo exigente y exquisita con algunas cosas. Sabiendo esto me arriesgué y empecé a tejer su regalo 🎁 siendo este proyecto mi participación en el concurso del mes de la comunidad #needleworkmonday al cual están cordialmente invitados.
I tried to do this project without her seeing the process 😊 as I wanted to surprise her. I tell you my mom is a very humble and grateful lady, but she is also somewhat demanding and exquisite with some things. Knowing this I took a chance and started knitting her gift 🎁 this project being my entry in the contest for #needleworkmonday community month to which you are cordially invited.

Cuando me disponía a empezar a tejer este estuche llegó de visita mi hermana. Conversamos un buen rato las tres. Ya entrada la noche hicimos la cena, vimos una película y nos despedimos para irnos a dormir. Me quedé profundamente rendida. Al amanecer, a eso de las 4 AM me levanté a tejer el estuche antes de que mi madre se despertara. Estaba muy fresca la mañana.
When I was about to start knitting this case, my sister came to visit. The three of us chatted for a while. Late at night we made dinner, watched a movie and said goodbye to go to sleep. I fell into a deep sleep. At dawn, around 4 AM, I got up to knit the case before my mother woke up. It was very cool in the morning.
Considero que lo tejí bastante rápido. Quiero agradecer a la tejedora @tejiendocontax porque de sus creaciones más recientes me inspiré para realizar el estuche. A ella pueden encontrarla por Facebook, es una crochetera muy simpática y motivadora.

Mientras tejía el estuche pensaba en lo que me había dicho mi mamá el día anterior. A ella le encanta su estuche en uso, pero también le gusta llevar en su cartera algunas otras cosas como lima de uñas, cortaúñas, pinza de cejas y demás utensilios de belleza 😃 ella es muy coqueta. Recuerdo que yo le dije que le haría un estuche para que lleve las pastillas necesarias para un tratamiento de uno o dos días. Para aquellas ocasiones en que sus visitas son cortas. Además, le expliqué, que es mucho más cómodo tener en su cartera solo lo que realmente va a necesitar.
As I was knitting the pencil case I was thinking about what my mom had told me the day before. She loves her case in use, but she also likes to carry in her purse some other things like nail file, nail clippers, eyebrow tweezers and other beauty tools 😃 she is very flirty. I remember I told her that I would make her a case for her to carry the necessary pills for a one or two day treatment. For those occasions when her visits are short. Also, I explained to her, that it is much more convenient to have in her purse only what she is really going to need.
En este proyecto estoy utilizando un nuevo hilo de algodón y por primera vez la aguja de crochet de 4mm. Me está encantando tejer con este número de gancho, aunque el hilo no es muy rendidor que digamos. Son dos ovillos de 70 gramos cada uno; colores verde claro y rojo. Además usé un cierre de plástico de 15cm el cual corté y ajusté a la medida. Lo cosí con aguja e hilo de coser color fucsia.
In this project I am using a new cotton yarn and for the first time the 4mm crochet hook. I am loving knitting with this hook number, although the yarn is not very yielding to say the least. There are two balls of 70 grams each; light green and red. I also used a 15cm plastic clasp which I cut and adjusted to size. I sewed it with needle and fuchsia sewing thread.
El estuche consta de dos Granny, el principal decorado con una hermosa flor roja y la tapa de atrás que es un granny básico. Los cosí por tres lados con punto deslizado tomando solo la hebra de atrás de cada punto. Por la abertura coloqué el cierre.
The case is made of two grannies, the main one decorated with a beautiful red flower and the back cover is a basic granny. I sewed them on three sides with slipped stitch taking only the back thread of each stitch. Through the opening I placed the zipper.
Generalmente al colocar el cierre trato de esconderlo cosiéndolo más adentro del tejido, pero en esta oportunidad preferí dejarlo visible. Me gusta como se ve y se le hará más fácil a mi mamá encontrar el seguro para abrir y cerrar.
Usually when attaching the zipper I try to hide it by sewing it further into the fabric, but this time I preferred to leave it visible. I like the way it looks and it will make it easier for my mom to find the latch to open and close.
Se levantó como a las 9:35 AM y se sorprendió al ver su 🎁 obsequio. Me dijo que estaba muy lujoso 😊 le encantó. Y yo feliz por verla feliz a ella.
