I had a plan in mind when I accessed your post, but the last photo moved me! What you called "palm fruit" here in Brazil is called "araçá" or "coquinho", among other regional names. The first of them is the name of my late grandmother, who had a plant like this on her small farm. Good memories!
But what brought me here is another matter...
