Saying hello from Uganda

Hello!

How are you doing?

I am reporting live from Uganda where we are already in the second half of our travel. Time flys! Especially when you are having such a great time. That is always bad thing with travelling. You are planning and waiting for departure date for half year, but when it comes it is almost over and that is kind of sad.
But I am trying to enjoy as much as possible and to see and experience as much as possible as well. I admit it is a bit exhausting, but we will rest when we return.

I made a lot of great photos and once again I am the most proud on my wildlife collection. I simply love safari. I could do that for living. I was positively surprised by the amount of animals we saw. We visited soms really nice national parks, but more details will follow when I won't be lying in bed, waiting to just fell asleep. Today was a strenuous day as we did the most famous Uganda thing! Visiting gorillas... Yes, it was a blast. Special feeling. But as already said you need a lot of energy for that trekking, especially if you are not used to that climate and you are in the middle of your travel. Anyway, I don't have any gorilla photos to share just yet, but we saw them, so I can confirm there will be some gorilla photos as well in my set in the future.

For today, I prepared stunning elephant photo! This one is really wow for me. Elephants are so gigantic! Such a nice animals. I also have giraffes and buffalos in the mist. Savannah there is nice and offers great photography opportunity by itself. There were lions spoted as well. A lot of them actually. This photo is pretty nice with him kind of posing up there. Majestic animal, true king.
To conclud, I had to include some of the people from there too. They are not so "different" than tribes I saw in Ethiopia, but hey they have true African genuine charm. You have to be impressed by them and their way of living. Especially kids are so cute. I would take one home...

Enough for now. Probably, I won't report anymore from the road but you can expect more when I return. A lot more...

Have a good evening folks!

Hello dear friend @crazy-andy good day
It is good to know that you are already enjoying your vacation in Uganda, yes, vacations go by very quickly, and they can be exhausting, but nothing compared to the things one experiences.
Excellent shots, thank you very much for showing us

Absolutely amazing. You just made me want to go there. After being to South Africa this year and the first time to Africa I now want to see more. Thanks for sharing these photos. You going to see the Gorillas as well?

That was my intention to make you want to go there :)
Once you come to Africa, you hardly stop with single visit.
And we already saw gorillas!

wildlife of African countries is famous all over the world, I have heard about Uganda and now, seen it's pictures for the first time. Can see fog in the pictures, means it is cold out there? Also didn't know that famous thing in Uganda is Gorillas, no doubt, they are wonderful creature and I am sure you had a blast and enjoyed your time with Gorillas.
Thanks for sharing your travel diary!!!

Thank you very much for leaving such a nice comment.
Africa is special continent. Its wildlife can not be compared. So awesome.
It is not really cold, but fog/mist is great addition to some photos. We departed on game drives very early.
Have a good one!

I made a lot of great photos and once again I am the most proud on my wildlife collection

You have photographed the elephant in the greenery very well. Also the giraffes posed well in the fog :)
You did a great job. In the words of a Turkish saying "health to your equation" 📷
Looking forward to your gorilla photos 💯

Happy to read that you like my work. Animals did most of the job as I often say. I just clicked the button.

It is one of a kind experience as you never know where you would spot something. Nothing is guaranteed and each sight is so different.
Anybody who have a chance and like travelling or photography should visit Africa.

Being careful together with wild animals is crucial. Staying out of trouble first, good photos second...
Have a good one!

On the road bright and early, trekking through dense underbrush not easy in this region I have heard.

Elephants, Giraffe and Buffalo always exciting viewings, Gorillas more hiking in very quietly, sounds like you had luck on the day of seeing them... envious!

Children always innocent at this lovely young age, welcoming to each village all across Africa.

What a lovely comment you left up here! Poetic!
I have nothing else to add, other than thank you African people for the hospitality.

Thank you for the support as well!

Always appreciate those who visit, find tranquility in exhilarating surroundings. Rural life so poor in money the West know, rich in life enjoying the land and freedom.

That is one of the best feelings you can get while travelling, at least for me. You never know where some proud lion will show off or behind which turn gigantic elephant awaits you.

@crazy-andy OMG - You made me so nostalgic. Haven't been to Uganda of course but those curious Giraffe and the majestic elephant made me remember my time in Kruger and Pilanesberg. There is no parallel to wildlife pictures - I am an avid amateur wildlife photographer but these days, since I am in a location where population has pretty much driven out wildlife from most locations, I am lucky if I can click birds. Got a nice chameleon action shot for a change though which I posted.
Looking forward to lots of great pics.
Cheers!

Escape to the nature is priceless. Especially if you can escape all the way to Africa and experience safari. Hard to compare it with anyting else. Well, I am back home, but hope I will hit a road again some time in the near future.
Thank you for stopping by!
