On an ordinary day, one that seemed like any other, I opened a huge door to a completely new and fascinating universe: the world of specialty coffee. That moment expanded my mind, just like when a child discovers something curious about the world around them.

I never imagined that something as simple as making a cup of coffee could have such depth and complexity behind it.

That day I visited Nakama Caffé, a local coffee shop in my city dedicated to creating sensory experiences around coffee. And I know many of you might be asking: what exactly does that mean?

For me, it was a tasting of more than 10 types of specialty coffee. Yes, specialty coffee exists, and it’s on a completely different level. There were exotic and unconventional flavor combinations that exploded on my palate in ways I had never experienced before. It was a journey of aromas, textures, and flavors that made me see coffee in a whole new light.

Without a doubt, it was one of the best experiences of my life. So much so, that I would happily repeat it a thousand times. I discovered that this world is infinite, full of possibilities and nuances that go far beyond the typical cup of coffee we drink every morning.

Un día cualquiera, de esos que parecen normales, abrí una puerta gigantesca hacia un universo completamente distinto y fascinante: el mundo del café de especialidad. Esa experiencia me hizo sentir como un niño que descubre un dato curioso del mundo que lo rodea: la mente se me expandió.

Nunca imaginé que algo tan sencillo como preparar una taza de café tuviera un trasfondo tan amplio e interesante.

Ese día visité Nakama Caffé, una cafetería local de mi ciudad que se dedica a ofrecer experiencias sensoriales alrededor del café. Y sé que muchos se preguntarán: ¿qué significa eso exactamente?

En mi caso, consistió en una cata de más de 10 tipos de café de especialidad. Sí, existe el café de especialidad, y créanme que es otro nivel. Había mezclas con sabores exóticos y nada convencionales que explotaban en mi paladar de formas que nunca había sentido. Fue un viaje de aromas, texturas y sabores que me hicieron ver al café de una manera completamente nueva.

Sin duda, fue una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. Tanto, que no dudaría en repetirla mil veces más. Descubrí que este mundo es infinito, lleno de posibilidades y matices que van mucho más allá de la típica taza de café que tomamos cada mañana.
