Foul Mood Healed

Well just one of those days where I got off work and didn't feel like doing much. It's not like we had a heavy work load schedule today. The day started out fine and I even took a selfie something I don't do often. What put me in this mood? Well boss thought it would be a grand idea to change all the ceiling lighting in our building. On a Friday of all days and 4 other co-workers were not there today for a various reasons.

A few days ago we picked up some cases of four feet LED bulbs from the local hardware store. I am the purchase card holder for my building. A few weeks ago I ordered 45 cases containing 16 bulbs per case for around $3000. How many bulbs? I tell you the truth I don't want to do the math, it's just a lot. A lot of going up and down a latter and raising my arms over my head. It's now super bright everywhere and everything looks different. I got the overwhelming feeling of dislike. I'm sure after a few days I will adjust to it.

Also on my mind is my son. Wenesday he was playing basketball in a high school Varsity league. Towards the end of the game he came down on someone's foot causing him to tweak his knees. He did the same thing two months ago and was sidelined for about 6 weeks.According to his trainer he just had a sprain. He needs to get it checked out but refuses. He comes to think it's just another sprain but I want assurance from a doctor. I just don't want him doing things on it if it could be making it worse. So Monday he will go see his doctor which hopefully leads to an immediate referral to get a MRI or at least information that everything is ok.

There is one thing that is currently annoying me. There is some upvoting issues on another platform I write at. Horrible timing because I have just put out a writing challenge there. Well I hope it gets fixed soon because articles are piling up there.

On the drive home from work I witnessed a car fire. I seen it from the distance and it took a good five minutes to come up on it because traffic became congested. My original thought was it going to explode, I believe that only happens in the movies. Still though going by it at 15 mph didn't feel comfortable. The car owner was a good 100 yards foward of his car sitting in the grass with his hands on his head looking down. I will say that putting up light bulbs all day didn't seem so bad now.

The rest of the drive to my final destination was smooth riding. Initially I thought of driving home but I felt I needed to vent somewhere else for whatever reason. Today it's not too hot nor cold a perfect 75 degrees Fahrenheit. So I decided to go to a lake close by.

My destination is a place called Boy Scout Island. A lot of people come here to fish on the dock or on the shoreline. While others either sit in there car or just pop open a chair to relax. Well for myself it might be surprise I'm not here to fish. Heck my gear is ready in the garage for another day. I came hear to relax, take some pictures, listen to some tunes, take a breath of fresh air, and of course to write.

I enjoy coming here and just looking around. The trees here are of good size. I put most of them to be over 100 years old. This little spot has been here a long time. You see I'm a member of a Fish and Game Club at this lake. I hear the "Old Timers" talk about fishing there when they were kids. These guys are between 80-90 years old. I hope I didn't offend anybody. Also there are pictures in the club house upstairs that date back over 100 years.

Every so often I look out onto the lake. It was getting close to that time to head home and than I see this group of geese swimming. They just look like they are at peace. I left the lake and stopped to pick up something to eat to bring home.

Coming here and leaving here I feel completely different. It was good I chose to come here. The environment put me at ease and kind of healed me of my foul mood I was in. Take care, be safe and have a great weekend.

Thanks Jane I hope it's nothing serious with my son. As for the upvoting issue there's still some issues on my side. Not everyone is experiencing these issues though.

Boy Scout Island? It's my first time to hear that. Anyway, about the upvoting issues in read.cash, I hope that dminthe a would fix it. I also wish that someone would also fund that platform like what we experienced a few years ago. It's been more than two months since my last publish since I don't have enough energy to continue. Aside from that, it sounds like you had a bit of a challenging day with the unexpected task from your building and concerns about your son's knee injury. I hope you'd able to cope with it. About the car on fire, I also remember a similar experience where I saw the truck had massive damage. Poor ownr, though.

Oh yes the car owner looked pretty depressed. Probably a lot going through his mind. I know if I lost my transportation it would be something hard to figure out.

Today so far a better day hoping for a productive weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere there in that lake. Sorry for your son, it must be frustrating, hope he will be fine!

I don't envy you for changing the light bulbs, hell of the work and makes you dizzy and soar, but someone has to do it and as this time was you, now you're someone 😂.

Ok, jokes aside, I hope your son's leg is going to be ok. He also needs to understand that injuries need to be taken seriously and treated in time, till there's still a way to treat them and avoid further complications. He's young, he thinks he's indestructible but there's no such thing. One wrong decision and he can have life long consequences.

Last, but not least, I see you know how to heal yourself. I guess we all have a place that has this effect on us and use it to get better or into a better mood.

Have a nice weekend 🙂

Thanks Erikah for the kind words. Yes, I think we all have to figure out how to change our moods or attitudes. I have many outlets to visit that usually heal a bad mood or depressing day or to just blow off steam :)

I hope your worries about your son’s condition will be gone soon, hoping he’s really fine.
That burning car.. maybe it’s not a coincidence that you stumbled upon it. Maybe reminding you that there are other people who are having a bad day same as you. 🥲 I had a bad scene in my day today as well but I set it aside, ignored it and just moved on after a few minutes of thinking.
Nature has its powers I guess. It can heal us.

Thanks for the wishes, I hope Monday gives some answers. Yes seeing the car did make me reflect that things can always be worse. Nature can do wonders of course if conditions are right. Appreciate you stopping by.

Love the lake and you really need it Bob. Hope your son will have a fastest recovery.

Thank you Jean. He really has a lot riding on it. He's good enough at basketball to be offered a scholarship. He can be stubborn thinking, he's 16 years old. Needs to get the grades up to.

Haha the car on fire. I looked it up just before writing this comment. Car don't explode when on fire like you see in the movies.

Can I ask you a personal question if you do not mind as I do not want to be a stalker or something? please if you do not wish to answer you can ignore me. Were you a real-life commando in your early days or a policeman, soldier, security guard, or something cause some how you seem really intense and some how look very toned (Super fit) am really sorry but this is the second time I some how suspect this about you. I hope you do not mind; sorry if I crossed any lines here. Peace!

I have been bed ridden for over 20 years but the key thing is I am totally healthy. But I gotta start getting my self into fitness; I am not obese or over weight but I just feel I need to get my self healthier as you recall I got issues with digestion may be the core reason for this is that my habit of being bed ridden. I hope I change this habit or this is going to give me some major health issues in coming future :(. May be I should start fishing perhaps.

On the drive home from work I witnessed a car fire.

Wow, you saw some serious stuff right there. Am glad the car owner got to safety but some how you noted this fact as well? how were you so vigilant in analysing this situation I mean if I were you I would have been blinded and my brain fog would have kicked in to divide my judgement. You seem to be a man of crisis I thought you were just good at fishing but boy I feel no body should mess with you in real life cause they gonna pay hard really :(.

Nah I don't administer a can of whoop ass no more. I'm getting up there age, better lover than fighter, hehe. I always look at a situation as a whole to see all the fine details. I seen the fire and scoped around the area while driving in traffic. Can't just focus on one thing you may miss out on something else or maybe worse it's a planned distraction.

Wow, that explained how you figured out the car owner got to the safety part. This is impressive stuff I must admit and am lucky enough to view your whole experience and even your thought process behind your awareness of the things you witnessed. Thank you for sharing such details about your thought process in witnessing such crisis situations I mean I am no man of crisis but may be I can improve these skills by such discussions from pros like you perhaps.

Glad that you were able to go to the lake and get some air to straighten out your mood, nature is such an important resource when we are in a foul mood!

I’m not a fan of the LED bulbs to that extent, they might give you a fair bit of visual headaches because of the wave-like pulsing they do to emit light. Hopefully not but keep that in mind!

Hopefully your sons appointment went well yesterday!

The lake did offer some aid in my mood.

We have some ballisters where they don't work in that are going to be fixed. It's alrighty bright but once those are fixed another adjustment SMH. A few is ok but that many I'm not a huge fan of.

Still waiting for results from a scan but early indications is a sprain which can be a 6 week healing time. Being a teenager, he wants to keep doing things without taking in account that it may not be benefiting him. Fun times when they get older friend, 😂
