TORTONI, the oldest cafe in BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINAºººººTORTONI, el cafe mas antiguo de BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

Hello everyone, following my walk, leaving what would be PLAZA DE MAYO, walking along AV. DE MAYO, towards AV. 9 DE JULIO, I had the honor and the pleasure of passing in front of the oldest cafe in BUENOS AIRES ( TORTONI ), which was founded in 1820, where 17 cafes were registered in the city, THE TORTONI is the oldest of all that still exist in BUENOS AIRES, in its marble tables and walls is present a very important part of the history of BUENOS AIRES, for its most prominent customers were the writers JORGE LUIS BORGES, LUIGI PIRANDELLO, FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA and JULIO CORTAZAR, also the musicians ARTHUR RUBINSTEIN and the pope of tango, CARLOS GARDEL.

As indicated in the map that can be seen in this photo, AV. DE MAYO, which starts at PLAZA DE MAYO and ends at the HONORABLE CONGRESS OF THE ARGENTINEAN NATION, totaling about 10 blocks.

In the cua you can find several old buildings and one of them is this famous CAFE TORTONI, as you can see in its façade you can find maromol plaques like this one, describing a little bit what this cafe is.

Well in this picture, it is at the moment when I am walking along AV. DE MAYO, towards AV. 9 DE JULIO.

This would be the entrance door of the cafe, the same are preserved since its inauguration, of course well maintained.

This window at one side of the entrance displays some crafts of the house, as well as photographs of the time, where you could enjoy a coffee at the tables that were on the sidewalk.

This part is a side entrance, with a very old but well preserved facade.

Continuing the walk, but on the opposite sidewalk, is this bar called PICHIN BAR, well I consider it more of a cantina, by the facade that has the same and by the idols of ARGENTINE soccer, painted on the top of the entrance to it.

The truth my friends, personally I feel like a tour guide, making these posts, of the history of BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA, I consider it very beautiful to be able to share with all of you.

Hola a todos, siguiendo mi paseo, saliendo de lo que seria la PLAZA DE MAYO, caminando por AV. DE MAYO, hacia la AV. 9 DE JULIO, tuve el honor y me di el gusto de pasar frente al cafe mas antiguo de BUENOS AIRES (((TORTONI)), el cual fue fundado en el año 1820, en donde se registraban en la ciudad 17 cafés, EL TORTONI es el más antiguo de todos los que aún exisisten en BUENOS AIRES, en sus mesas de mármol y sus paredes está presente una parte muy importante de la historia de BUENOS AIRES, por sus clientes más destacados se en el que se encontraban los escritores JORGE LUIS BORGES, LUIGI PIRANDELLO, FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA y JULIO CORTAZAR, tambien los músicos ARTHUR RUBINSTEIN y el papa del tango, EL SEÑOR CARLOS GARDEL.

Como lo indica el mapa que se puede observar en esta foto, de AV. DE MAYO,la cual nace en la PLAZA DE MAYO y finaliza en el HONORABLE CONGRESO DE LA NACION ARGENTINA, totalizando unas 10 cuadras.

En la cua se puede encontrar varios edificios antiguos y uno de ellos es este famoso CAFE TORTONI, como ven en su fachada se encuentran placas de maromol como esta, describiendo un poco lo que es dicho cafe.

Bueno en esta fotografia, es en el momento en que me encuentro caminando por dicha AV. DE MAYO, hacia la AV. 9 DE JULIO.

Esta seria la puerta de ingreso de dicho cafe, las misma se conservan desde su inauguracion, por supuesto bien mantenidas.

Esta vidriera a un costado de la entrada exhive algunas artesanias de dicha casa, como asi tambien fotografias de la epoca, donde se podia degustar un cafe en las mesas que se hallaban en a vereda.

Esta parte es una entrada lateral, con una fachada muy antigua, pero bien conservada.

Siguiendo la caminata, pero sobre la vereda de enfrente, se encuentra este bar de nombre PICHIN BAR, bueno lo concidero mas una cantina, por la fachada que tiene el mismo y por los idolos del futbol ARGENTINO, pintados en la parte de arriba del ingreso al mismo.

La verdad amigos en lo personal me siento como un guia turistico, efectuando estos post, de la historia de BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA, lo concidero muy hermozo el poder compartir con todos ustedes.
