Mundane Life | A Feline-Filled Birthday Celebration at C&U Catfe (Cat Cafe)

This event occurred several months ago, specifically on my daughter's 13th birthday. My husband and I are not fans of extravagant celebrations due to the inconvenience of organizing them and the unnecessary expenses incurred merely to please others. When it comes to our children's birthdays, we opt to spend more money to fulfill their specific desires. We might also host small gatherings with their close circle of friends. I believe this approach adds more significance to their special day and is also less stressful for us parents.

On my daughter's 13th birthday, we decided to take her to a unique venue for a special celebration. To maintain the element of surprise, we deliberately kept the details in the dark, ensuring she remained unaware of the special arrangements until the actual day of her birthday.

The special place we took her to was a Cat Cafe! This recently opened cafe was conveniently situated not far from our apartment. Despite our family's deep affection for cats, we were unable to have one as a pet due to various reasons. My daughter, in particular, has a profound love for cats, making the Cat Cafe a perfect choice for her birthday celebration.

On the morning of her birthday, we instructed her to get ready to receive her "special" gift from us. Although she was curious, she refrained from pestering us, eagerly anticipating whatever surprise awaited her.

The drive to the cafe took about 15 minutes, and upon our arrival around 11 AM, she was pleasantly surprised. We intentionally arrived early, understanding that the kids would need some time to play and interact with the cats.

The official name of the cafe was C&U Catfe. A banner at the entrance caught our attention, promoting the available lunch set at the cafe.

As you can see in these photos, the place was clean but unoccupied since we were the first customers of the day. The cafe boasted a spacious layout with minimalist decor and a high ceiling. The cat villa, situated on the first floor, required cafe patrons to buy their food and drinks before gaining access to play with the cats. I believe this rule serves well to deter non-patrons from entering the cat villa without making a purchase.

Posters featuring the resident cats adorned the walls, adding a charming touch to the ambiance. In total, there were 7 cats, with the majority being purebred.

A picture of the delightful food we ordered, accompanied by a slice of cake for the birthday girl. We instructed the kids to finish their food before playing with the cats.

Here is the entrance to the first-floor cat villa. Before ascending the staircase, we were required to remove our shoes.

Upon entering the cat villa, we were warmly welcomed by these sweet furbabies. They were so fluffy the kids were going nuts!

I took some pictures of these fluffy cuddly balls. They were so cute and not afraid of strangers 😍

My favorite was this handsome gray tomcat but I couldn't remember its name.

My handsome boy stopped by a drinking fountain after playing with us for a while.

We indulged in nearly 2 hours of playtime with the cats, but as the place began to fill up with other patrons, we made the decision to leave. My daughter was smiling broadly and I knew she enjoyed her birthday gift 😁

Are you a cat person? Have you ever been to a cat cafe before?

What a unique Cafe you went like I wanna be there with my baby all day long. If it is near my place, I would be engaged to choose it as my venue too for my little one’s birthday. I love the minimalist interior design and the cleanliness. I love the cuteness of the felines. And you are a smart, selfless, and practical parent. I also don't like a flamboyant celebration.

Your darling baby would love it here too. The cats were very friendly and not aggressive at all because they were used to visitors.

I totally agree with big celebrations just to please everyone you know just for show off. My son never had a bashful birthday celebration as well. We tried to make it meaningful as well.
What you did for your daughter's 13th birthday will really be a life long memory for her which will be told down to her next leneig.
I love their concept of having a villa for cats. So cool!
The cafe itself is beautiful, simple and yet elegant. Nothing beats simplicity!!
Thanks for sharing your life sorry with us. I enjoyed reading it.
Have a great day ahead!

I know right...I would rather spend that money on my kids rather than having a big celebration and inviting people they aren't even close to. Thank you for your lovely comment 🙏
