Snow More Of This

Y'all are probably getting tired of snow photos but I'm tired of snow, so we'll just call it even. We normally average about an inch of snow at this point in December, this year it went moon and we've had more than ten and a half inches of snow.

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. . ." Oh well, to live is to fly, which is what you'll be doing if you try to dig too much into this.

When it looks like this in the summer, it means the air quality index is getting downright unfriendly. In the wintertime, that's probably true as well, but cold and foggy to boot.

Well, if I had a nickel, I'd find a game If I won a dollar, I'd make it rain If it rained an ocean, I'd drink it dry And lay me down, dissatisfied

Ain't dissatisfied with a bit of compression. These two are sequential shots (in reverse order), shot from the same spot with opposite ends of my 70-300mm. Now compression just needs to work its magic on the drive between Churchill Downs and downtown.

The weather is supposed to finally start improving tomorrow. If Louisville drivers could say the same we'd be cooking with napalm.

Streetlights and snow at night make for fun light conditions, but snow more please. That's quite enough for one winter, or a dozen. Y'all stay warm out there.
Wonderful photos, but we have you beat by snow accumulation! 24 inches here in the past 30 days. I hope the coming warming trend melts some of it away!
Yikes, no thank you! Is that normal for your neck of the woods or are y'all running above average too? There's been several winters in recent years where we got less snow all winter than we've had this December. Thankfully it'll all be gone soon, have a high of 47 tomorrow and 59 by Thursday.
We have had much more snow this year than the past few winters. Our predicted temps are not as high as yours, but we are supposed to get above freezing, which will be very welcome after the subzero weekend we just had!
Did a little digging, apparently 2025 is in 6th place in Louisville's 'most snow in a year' contest. On the flip side, we've gotten more snow this month than we got in all of 2023 and 2024 combined. It's always weird when above freezing starts to feel warm 😂
Some incredible photographs, especially the first one, which could easily be part of a movie. Great use of the car lights at that moment!
Thank you! Ha, I'm pretty sure a movie inspired that first shot. Exposing for that light was fun :)
I just adore Shots like this, night, street and snowy

We've had our fair share of them lately :) Glad you like them!
Thank ya!
