Popping In To The Pop-Up

It may still be cold outside, but the South End Community Market is already starting to get warmed up for the year.

They kicked things off today with a pop-up market for that most Hallmark of holidays, VD day.

Held at the South End of Louisville's very own neighborhood bookstore, Foxing Books, it drew a good crowd of familiar faces to peruse the books, crafts, and tasty treats.

There may or may not have been some catching up over coffee and pastries as well.

Wasn't just the South End Community Market, Foxing Books and the Hazelwood Community Collective all pitched in to make the shindig happen.

Foxing Books is located in an old school building, getting to explore a bit more of it was an added bonus. Appeared to be evidence of the Young Writers Workshop that meets there.

After all the cold and snow, it was nice just to get out and visit a bit. Kept getting sidetracked talking and forgetting to take more photos.

This was the third year of the 'Lovers & Friends Pop-Up Market' and if you're going to observe that commercial holiday, might as well support your neighbors in the process.

Only way to do it in my book.
