Back At It Again

Saturday, 50501 was back at it again, with the Make Billionaires Pay demonstration downtown at Injustice Square Park.

Turnout was a little lighter than in times past, but that didn't put a damper on things.

Would rather have been at the music festival with everyone else but there is this small matter of an authoritarian power play going on that seemed a bit more pressing.

Not to mention the genocides currently in progress.

Between the regime's 'flood the zone' approach to undermining the Constitution, the 24 hour news cycle, and social media algorithms incessant amplification, it can all get a little overwhelming. A community healing space was set up at the square for anyone who needed a break from all that.

Boycott, divest, sanction. Still wild to me how accepting this country is of the fact that a handful of billionaires get to control most everyone's access to information.

As the saying goes, you have nothing to lose but your chains.
