Wow, what an adventure that turned out to be for you. The folks there are amazing. Coming together like that to do good for the whole. Sacrificing physically and financially. And then you..not just a woven part of the culture. Jumping right in and donating your sweat, money and tears. Good man!

It works great when most chip in somehow, according to their possibilities. It's a little unfortunate that it's mostly the communities that carry the weight, while the city center doesn't do much. Guess it's everywhere, the country folks carrying the weight of basic needs.
Seems like that in many places. City folks during disaster act so helpless.
