Today I wanted to appreciate a little bit of snow for some black and white shots!

One of the evenings that I was out recently, we got a good glimpse of a little bit of snow that decided to finally fall! We've gotten a little bit of snow so far this year, with hopes of getting a decent amount more so that we can get out there and explore around. This was a great bit of exploration I got to do in a fairly close area!
The spot here is nice because as you can see those high power lines there mean that they clear the area routinely so that it means you've got a good path to walk on pretty much any time of year! In the late autumn though they clear cut it all so it becomes quite a nice field to go walking in, even in the snow.
What I love about the area though is all of the trees and stuff around! It gives it such a beautiful look that I was glad I had my good phone camera with me, instead of my old one that wouldn't have been able to capture these types of images lol. The branches heavy with snow is so cool to see! It makes it seem very peaceful, although this area right here was pretty close to a road so it wasn't as quiet as I wanted it to be lol but it's hard to tell that just looking at this picture I think! :D
The river is where it's at though! I'm really excited about how this one came out, it looks like a river in the middle of Alaska or something far more wild than where I am right here lol. I love seeing all of the weeds and grasses being heavy with snow, adds a really nice element to it! I know that when we get more snow, more than just the inch or two we got here, I will definitely give this area another shot since it's easy to get to and my car can handle it. Some of the places we went last year I don't know if my car can handle it sadly! Lol, we sold the all wheel drive car so it limits us a little bit! :D

Snow! You've taken precisely the types of pictures I would like to take if it ever snowed here, again. I keep holding out hope, but I think the closest I might get is shaving some ice into a cup and throwing it in the air.
Yeah depending on where you’re at, you’re not likely to get snow the further down the coast you get lol. I think I remember where you’re at and ya I don’t know of a lot of snow in that region of the country!

No snow in sight. Haven't seen any this year and this season, let me think, I think there has been a little dusting at some point. This winter is really, really weird. Way too warm. The thing is I like warm but it is not warm enough to be enjoyable. It's this shitty in between. Oh well, better than a snow storm, right?
Ya it’s very strange the weather we’ve been having. It’s cyclical though, some winters are brutally snowy and cold while others are relatively mild. This one is certainly mild! I don’t mind it in some ways but in others I wish we would get some bitter cold temps for a week or two to freeze up the lakes so we can do some ice skating!
