Walking with Witches – A Photo Poem
(Edited)
A Walk with Witches
the witches cast a spell
burrowed lairs
dare I?
the golden light
where the witches freeze
familiars guard
his wish is peace
I drift along
All photos for this post were taken on the Humptulips River in Humptulips, Wash.
The verse is written in iambic pentameter, with a few variations here and there.
The birds are cedar waxwings.

And so I followed the witches downstream
Away from the flooding eyes
And human spies.
What a beautiful place to get lost in 🔆
And a beautiful addendum! Thank you. :)
