Hello everyone πŸ– I hope you are all well πŸ˜ƒ

Welcome to Vila do Conde in Portugal. Today the day's trip was to a city in the north of Portugal.
I decided to make my post today in black and white, which I love so much. It reminds us of old photos of our ancestors.
Since photography is art, let's explore.
Black and white photography gives more intensity to the photo and removes any background "noise" it may have. The way to interpret this type of photo will be different from a color photo.

Now talking about Vila do Conde, which is divided into 21 parishes and is located next to Rio Ave.
This river gave its name to the local football club.

This city has a fishing area and a bathing area. It is a city in Portugal that is very popular with tourists.
They have the Santa Clara convent that gives us a beautiful view over the city.

This convent is known for being a women's convent in 1318.
Next to the convent there is a Franciscan order that has a bell in its building.

Vila de Conde is known for its fantastic aqueduct, it is a monument in the form of arches that runs throughout the city. History says there were 999 arches, but currently some are completely destroyed.

The gardens of Vila de Conde are also very beautiful, full of flowers and a diversity of trees that give the place a charm. Throughout the gardens there are some benches for people to rest and enjoy the whole scene, as the garden has the Rio Ave as a backdrop, which provides a fantastic view.

When walking through the city I come across a wooden bridge that makes a small crossing, on the bridge there are a series of locks. These are those little boxes that people normally place and make wishes for.
I found a very beautiful one, in the shape of a heart, I suspect it belongs to a couple in love.

I took advantage of the photography tour and took a reflection photo across a small lake in the city.

Vila do Conde is also known for a 16th century ship that is located on the Ave river, and you can visit its inside.
It is a replica built in the Vila do Conde shipyards.
It reminds us of historical times with its wooden model and its set sails.

Along the banks of the river there is a square where there is a sundial, it is a gigantic monument that makes us feel like the size of an ant.
This sundial is associated with navigators who in ancient times used a series of objects to locate themselves.

On the banks of the river you can take some fantastic photos, today I decided to share the black and white photos to provide an image in a historical context.

I hope you enjoyed the post and sharing πŸ˜‰
Until morning πŸ‘ See you in the next post.
