The countryside of cities hide many beautiful surprises, often degraded or forgotten by people, but sometimes that's not always a bad thing. I like walking in the profound tranquility and visiting archaeological sites such as the Dolmen della Chianca, a tomb built with stone boulders in the shape of a rudimentary temple, inside which animal bones and the remains of pottery dating back to around 1000 BC have been found. Chianca is in fact the local term used to indicate these stone slabs which are arranged vertically and horizontally. The architectural and historical value of this discovery is truly incredible, especially in this territory already rich in traces of man in the centuries before Christ.

A discovery that took place only in the first decade of the last century and was a truly incredible discovery for the whole area that annually attracts a large number of visitors. The Dolmen can be visited for free, reaching the monument is quite simple, although it is located in a rural area.

The site at this time of the season is rarely visited so when we arrived by car there was nobody. However, the arche site is small, so after seeing the monument, we took a walk in the neighboring streets, fully enjoying the warmth of the sun, the sound of nature and the typical tranquility of these areas.

Le campagne delle città nascondono molte belle sorprese, spesso degradate o dimenticate dalla gente, ma a volte non è sempre un male. Mi piace passeggiare nella profonda tranquillità e visitare siti archeologici come il Dolmen della Chianca, una tomba costruita con massi di pietra a forma di tempio rudimentale, all'interno del quale sono stati ritrovati ossa di animali e resti di cocci risalenti attorno al 1000 a.C. la Chianca di fatto è il termine locale con cui s'indicano queste lastre di pietra che sono disposte verticalmente e orizzontalmente. È davvero incredibile il valore architettonico e storico di tale scoperta, soprattutto in questo territorio già ricco di tracce dell'uomo nei secoli avanti

Una scoperta avvenuta solo nel primo decennio dello scorso secolo ed è stata una scoperta davvero incredibile per tutto il territorio che richiama annualmente un elevato numero di visitatori. Il Dolmen è visitabile gratuitamente, raggiungere il monumento è abbastanza semplice, sebbene sia ubicato in una zona rurale.

Il sito in questo momento della stagione è poco visitato per cui al nostro arrivo in macchina non vi era nessuno. Il sito arche è comunque piccolo, per cui dopo aver visto il monumento, noi abbiamo fatto una passeggiata nelle strade limitrofe, godendo appieno il calore del sole, il suono della natura e la tranquillità tipica di queste zone.
