A nice Sunday stroll through the historic center of La Asuncion [Esp/Eng]

Hola queridos amigos ¡Feliz Domingo! espero que hayan tenido un estupendo fin de semana disfrutando y descansando para iniciar la semana con toda la energía positiva. Por mi parte les quiero compartir mi visita al casco histórico de La Asunción.

La Asunción, es la capital de nuestro Estado Nueva Esparta, es un rinconcito que conserva el estilo arquitectónico colonial y es caracterizado por su rica cultura, el heroísmo, aquí sucedieron grandes eventos que desenlazaron la independencia de nuestro país y sus pintorescos paisajes naturales de verdad que enamoran.

El lugar de reunión social por excelencia es la plaza Bolívar de la Asunción, allí convergen varias estructuras que valen la pena visitar, entre ellos tenemos la catedral de la Asunción, que es la 2da más antigua en todo nuestro país, tenemos el museo nueva cadiz , el centro de artes Omar Carreñon y la casa de la cultura, allí pueden observar obras de artes y piezas históricas de gran valor cultural.

Durante mi paseo también pude observar en la periferia de la plaza, el núcleo del sistema de orquesta, varios puestos de comida tradicional, mini restaurantes, ventas populares de pan, como el de leche, azucarado, las tradicionales empanadas, granizados, también hay locales con artesanías, hoy domingo por la hora estaba cerrado, pero tengo pendiente visitarlo, allí venden cosas hermosas, recuerdos, perlas, bisuteria y curiosidades para nuestro hogar con el sello Margariteño.

Al final pasé una tarde maravillosa. Amé la energía de la Asunción, el paisajismo, sus estrechas calles, el calor y tradición de su gente es sin igual Les comparto algunas hermosas fotos que capturé durante mi recorrido. Espero les gusten. Les envío un fran abrazo. Nos vemos en próximo post 🤗❤️

Hello dear friends, Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great weekend enjoying and resting to start the week with all the positive energy. For my part I want to share with you my visit to the historic center of La Asuncion.

La Asuncion is the capital of our state of Nueva Esparta, is a small corner that preserves the colonial architectural style and is characterized by its rich culture, heroism, here happened great events that triggered the independence of our country and its picturesque natural landscapes really fall in love.

The social meeting place par excellence is the Plaza Bolivar de la Asuncion, there converge several structures that are worth visiting, among them we have the Cathedral of the Assumption, which is the 2nd oldest in our country, we have the new Cadiz museum, the Omar Carreñon arts center and the house of culture, there you can observe works of art and historical pieces of great cultural value.

During my walk I could also observe on the periphery of the square, the core of the orchestra system, several traditional food stalls, mini restaurants, popular sales of bread, such as milk, sugared, traditional empanadas, slush, there are also local crafts, today Sunday by the time was closed, but I have pending visit, there sell beautiful things, souvenirs, pearls, jewelry and curiosities for our home with the seal Margariteño.

In the end I spent a wonderful afternoon. I loved the energy of La Asuncion, the landscaping, its narrow streets, the warmth and tradition of its people is unparalleled.
