Reliquias de la guerra en Porlamar [ENG/ESP]

These days my wife and I have been studying with my children about the different wars that have taken place in various parts of the world, which made me remember that in our nation there have also been wars, a reality that makes us think of those people who gave their lives for the freedom of the nation and posterity. History tells us that many countries have fought for this same right, and when someone stronger wants to impose himself, there is no other choice but to fight.

When I was in Margarita with my wife we had the opportunity to visit the war museum in Porlamar, being there I could not help but move to the past and glimpse in my mind how those moments would have been, certainly terrible, the guide told us about the objects found, its history and its uses, weapons such as cannons, sabers and swords.

He also showed us a prison where prisoners of war were imprisoned, it was really a difficult time that people lived in those days, many died and today only these memories remain, they are cruel reminders of humanity in my opinion, but today they are considered relics.

Each photo has its history, the truth is that wars are struggles of ideals, sadly we are involved in them every day although this time it is not with weapons (in some places).

I think it is a privilege to live today and not have to go through those bad times that our ancestors lived through. Finally, it only remains for me to tell you that if you have the opportunity to go to Margarita do not miss the opportunity to visit the museum, it is a quiet walk full of memories, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Estos días mi esposa y yo hemos estado estudiando con mis hijos acerca de las diferentes guerras que se han dado en varias partes del mundo, lo que me hizo recordar que en nuestra nación también ha habido guerras, una realidad que nos hace pensar en aquellas personas que dieron su vida por la libertad de la nación y de la posteridad. La historia nos dice que muchos países han luchado por este mismo derecho y es que cuando alguien más fuerte se quiere imponer no queda de otra más que luchar.

Cuando estuve en Margarita junto a mi esposa tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar el museo de la guerra en Porlamar, al estar allí no podía evitar trasladarme al pasado y vislumbrar en mi mente como habrían sido aquellos momentos, sin duda terribles, el guía nos contaba acerca de los objetos encontrados, de su historia y sus usos, de las armas como los cañones, los sables y las espadas.

También nos mostró una prisión donde encarcelaban a los prisioneros de guerra, de verdad fue un tiempo difícil el que vivieron las personas en aquel entonces, muchos murieron y hoy solo quedan estas memorias, son recordatorios crueles de la humanidad a mi parecer, pero al día de hoy son consideradas reliquias.

Cada foto tiene su historia, lo cierto es que las guerras son luchas de ideales, tristemente nos vemos involucrados en ellas todos los días aunque en esta oportunidad no sea con armas (en algunos lugares).

Pienso que es un privilegio el vivir hoy y no tener que pasar por esos malos momentos que nuestros antepasados vivieron. Por último, solo me queda decirte que si tienes la oportunidad de ir a Margarita no pierdas la ocasión de visitar el museo, es un paseo tranquilo cargado de memorias, estoy seguro que lo disfrutaras.
