Enjoying the Job Expo Lara 2024 [ENG/ESP]
This weekend was held in the city of Barquisimeto the second edition of the Expo employment fair, which aims to attract new talent for their companies.
This fair was held at the C.C Metrópolis, located west of my city, it is the second edition organized by the company Pitágoras which serves as a bridge between companies and applicants. It started last year and last weekend opened its doors again, specifically on April 26th and 27th.
I had the opportunity to attend on Saturday, and it was great to see how companies are using new tools to recruit their staff.
Este fin de semana se celebró en la ciudad de Barquisimeto la segunda edición de la feria de Expo empleo, la cual tiene como finalidad captar nuevos talentos para sus empresas.
Esta feria se realizó en el C.C Metrópolis, ubicado al oeste de mi ciudad, es la segunda edición organizada por la empresa Pitágoras que sirve como un puente entre compañías y aspirantes. Comenzó el año pasado y el pasado fin de semana abrió sus puertas nuevamente, específicamente los días 26 y 27 de Abril.
Tuve la oportunidad de asistir el día sábado, y fue muy grato ver como las empresas están utilizando nuevas herramientas para captar a su personal.
I remember when I was younger walking the Industrial Zone (I, II, III) to get a job, now the situation is a little different, it is easier in one sense but in turn presents a greater complexity to stay with the vacancy because there is more competition. This is an advantage of these fairs, there is a greater influx of candidates.
Last year there were more people, I remember that it was more difficult to access and also the reception in each of the stands, this time I did not see so many people and not many companies, there are some that were not part of this opportunity.
Recuerdo cuando era más joven caminar la Zona Industrial (I, II, III) para conseguir empleo, ahora la situación es un poco diferente, es más fácil en un sentido pero a su vez presenta una mayor complejidad para quedarse con la vacante debido a que hay más competencia. Esta es una ventaja de estas ferias, hay mayor afluencia de candidatos.
El año anterior había mayor cantidad de personas, recuerdo que era más difícil el acceso y también la recepción en cada uno de los stands, esta vez no vi tanta gente y tampoco muchas empresas, hay unas que no formaron parte en esta oportunidad.
I could see several vacancies according to my professional profile, but also many new ones, even some unknown to me by name, for example "Quality Chain Supply Supervisor", I was doing some research and it has to do with quality management, but very intertwined with a production supervisor.
I thought it was interesting, so I decided to send my CV to apply for this position, we will see what happens.
At the site I took the opportunity to take some pictures, the radio media were present, the Union Radio booth was responsible for conducting several interviews, some of them in their booth and others through a journalist who went through each of the stands of the companies.
Pude ver varias vacantes acorde a mi perfil profesional, pero también muchas nuevas, incluso algunas desconocidas para mí por el nombre, por ejemplo “Supervisor de Calidad Chain Supply”, estuve investigando un poco y tiene que ver con la gerencia de la calidad, pero muy entrelazado con un supervisor de producción.
Me pareció interesante, así que decidí enviar mi CV para apostar por ese puesto, ya veremos que acontece.
En el sitio aproveche para tomar algunas fotos, los medios radiales se hicieron presente, el Stand de Unión radio se encargó de realizar varias entrevistas, algunas de ellas en su puesto y otras a través de un periodista que iba por cada uno de los stands de las compañías.
For me it was nice to see all the professionalism of those who attended, and as I like to talk, I took the opportunity to ask about some positions and vacancies that caught my attention. It really was a very pleasant experience, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I hope that next year more companies will join, and that the lung of the economy in the country continues to improve, it is necessary because there are many young people and adults looking for an opportunity to develop their professional career.
Para mí fue agradable ver todo el profesionalismo de quienes atendían, y como me gusta conversar, tome la oportunidad para preguntar sobre algunos puestos y vacantes que me llamaron la atención. Realmente fue una experiencia muy agradable., la cual disfrute totalmente.
Espero que el siguiente año se sumen más empresas, y que el pulmón de la economía en el país siga mejorando, es necesario porque hay muchos jóvenes y adultos buscando una oportunidad para desarrollar su carrera profesional.
