BANTAY ABOT CAVE_{Sitio Mabubua, Baloi, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Philippines}

After visiting the Patapat Viaduct, we continued the tour going to Bantay Abot Cave, it is simply a hill with a hole in it caused by some earthquakes in the past. According to the driver, it is one of the favorite venues for prenup and I totally understood why because it has a beautiful and spectacular view especially the rock formations.

The fun thing about this destination was that only Grace and I actually had photos of this marvelous site among all the people in our van because they did not get out of the van. So, somehow, I considered this place special for the two of us.

The van parked somewhere here to give us time to explore the place. We were given about thirty minutes only so Grace and I went quickly.

We were greeted by a little girl who offered to give us a tour in the place, she was so bubbly and talkative so we really had a great chat with her as she guided us with the way (where to step in and out). This little girl told us to be very careful since some of the rocks were slippery especially when wet.

The little girl was not only our tourguide, she was also our safety guide. Furthermore, she would instruct Grace and I to pose for a photo. I told her how to use my phone camera but she said she already knew it. She said that we were not her first guests.

We followed her and I was not dismayed of her output. She was able to capture the beautiful view of this spot with us. She was even very proud to show the shots to us. Indeed, this girl knew how she would offer a good service to her guests.

She told us that the other side of the cave is more beautiful and that we should go there too. While going there, she again proclaimed that we should have a photo there. There was nothing that we could do but be persuaded by her demands 😅.

Indeed it was beatiful and picture perfect. The little girl ran somewhere to take another picture. I was worried that she would fell, but she assured me that she has been doing this sideline for sometime already so, she knew what she was doing. Well, that made sense so I just let her led the way.

She handed back my phone and I took random photos of the view. And for me the blue sea and the blue skies are always interesting subjects. I am not certain if anyone agrees with me on this though.

I forgot which side of the hill was this photo above but certainly it was taken somewhere in the cave. This was already the best that I could do. After the quick exploration and few clicks of the camera, we went back to the van.
