📸Old VW Bus📸
The VW symbol is missing, one door has been removed - the paintwork is still in good condition. That's how I would describe the white VW bus. I found it in Theologos, a small village in Greece. The big VW symbol, which is more or less a status symbol of this bus, was probably removed on purpose, as these are often removed wantonly. Owners of Mercedes and their stars know what I'm talking about.
All in all, the bus seemed to look quite "good" considering that it is more or less just standing on its side. I would be interested to know if it will be restored at some point, if it's just standing there, or if it's even being used as a spare parts store.
My acquaintances have an old Fiat, one of which is roadworthy and the other is only used as a spare parts store, so I don't want to exclude the possibility. However, I find it a bit strange that one door is completely missing and has only been "replaced" with a blanket.
In summer, this should not cause any problems - but in winter, which can be quite snowy even in Greece, I imagine the whole thing to be a bit problematic.

Das VW-Symbol fehlt, eine Tür wurde entfernt - der Lack ist noch in gutem Zustand. So oder so ähnlich würde ich den weißen VW-Bus beschreiben. Gefunden habe ich ihn in Theologos, ein kleines Dorf in Griechenland. Das große VW Symbol, was mehr oder weniger ein Statussymbol dieses Buses ist, wurde vermutlich absichtlich entfernt, da diese häufiger mal mutwillig abmontiert werden. Besitzer von Mercedesen und deren Sterne wissen wovon ich rede.
Alles in allem schien der Bus, dafür das er mehr oder weniger nur an der Seite steht, noch recht "gut" auszusehen. Mich würde mal interessieren, ob dieser irgendwann restauriert wird, einfach nur so dort steht, oder eventuell sogar als Ersatzteilelager benutzt wird.
Bei mir im Bekanntenkreis hat einer einen alten Fiat, der eine ist Fahrtüchtig, und der andere dient lediglich als Ersatzteilelager, also will ich das ganze nicht ausschließen. Etwas merkwürdig finde ich jedoch, dass eine Türe komplett fehlt und nur mit einer Decke diese Tür "ersetzt" wurde.
Im Sommer sollte dies keine Probleme geben - aber im Winter, die teilweise auch in Griechenland recht schneereich sein können, stell ich mir das ganze doch etwas problematisch vor.
