It's not too late for winter photos, is it? I just didn't want to wait another 10 months to share them with you. May I introduce Potsdamer Platz.

It was winter at Potsdamer Platz. As we are now slowly moving towards summer, I don't want to let the pictures be forgotten in my Lightroom library for a whole year. There are now more than 70,000 pictures in there, none of which I feel I've posted. The reason: I always intend to write an article about them and then somehow I don't do it... It doesn't fit in time, and so it goes on and on. So today I present my photo post, which still fits easily into the cold season.

In front of the entrance to the shopping center at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, there was a huge Christmas pyramid (photo: B.) with a bratwurst stand at the bottom. I just had to google the term "Christmas pyramid" and actually Google knows exactly what I mean when I type in "Christmas spinning thing with candles". 😂

In the shopping center itself, there were not only numerous Christmas trees, which were very elaborately decorated (as a child, our Christmas tree was not nearly as lavishly decorated). I found the ceiling with the fairy lights particularly impressive. I edited the photo to be a little faded to give it a warm and soft look (photo A.).

The globes in the mall itself were in matte colors, which meant I couldn't take a mirror shot. However, there were reflective ones that were silver (are they mirror-colored? What color is a mirror, anyway?) - (photos in the gallery below the post). Outside at one of the many Christmas markets, I found the perfect Christmas decorations (photo C.). You can see me on the right and @annasdiary on the left. (By the way, @annasdiary, are you still alive? - Joking aside, she's been writing her bachelor thesis for weeks. I can understand that you don't want to write in your spare time).

Picture D. shows a lonely little bell hanging from a mulled wine stand - a great motif together with the fairy lights and the one light bulb that wasn't working.

Es war Winter am Potsdamer Platz. Da wir uns nun langsam Richtung Sommer bewegen, möchte ich die Bilder nicht ein ganzes Jahr in meiner Lightroom-Bibliothek vergessen lassen. In dieser sammeln sich mittlerweile etwas mehr als 70.000 Bilder, von denen ich gefühlt keines gepostet habe. Der Grund: Ich nehme mir immer vor, dazu einen Artikel zu verfassen, und dann mache ich es doch irgendwie nicht... Es passt zeitlich dann nicht, und so geht es immer weiter. Daher präsentiere ich heute meinen Fotopost, der noch leicht in die kalte Jahreszeit passt.

Vor dem Eingang zum Einkaufszentrum am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin stand eine riesige Weihnachtspyramide (Foto: A.), in deren unterem Teil ein Bratwurststand war. Ich musste den Begriff "Weihnachtspyramide" gerade erst googeln und tatsächlich weiß Google genau was ich meine, wenn ich "Weihnachtsdrehding mit Kerzen" eingebe. 😂

Im Einkaufszentrum selbst standen nicht nur zahlreiche Weihnachtsbäume, die sehr aufwendig geschmückt waren (als Kind war unser Weihnachtsbaum nicht annähernd so üppig dekoriert). Besonders beeindruckend fand ich die Decke mit den Lichterketten. Ich habe das Foto etwas verblasst bearbeitet, um dem Ganzen einen warmen und sanften Look zu verleihen (Foto B.).

Die Kugeln im Einkaufszentrum selbst waren in matten Farben gehalten, wodurch ich keine Spiegelaufnahme machen konnte. Es gab jedoch spiegelnde, die silberfarben waren (sind sie spiegelfarbig? Welche Farbe hat eigentlich ein Spiegel?) – (Fotos in der Galerie unter dem Post). Draußen auf einem der vielen Weihnachtsmärkte fand ich dann die passende Weihnachtsdeko (Foto C.). Ich bin rechts zu sehen und @annasdiary links. (Übrigens, @annasdiary, lebst du noch? – Spaß beiseite, sie schreibt seit Wochen an ihrer Bachelorarbeit. Ich kann verstehen, dass man da nicht auch noch in seiner Freizeit schreiben möchte.)

Bild D. zeigt eine einsame kleine Glocke, die an einem Glühweinstand hing – ein tolles Motiv zusammen mit der Lichterkette und der einen Glühbirne, die nicht funktionierte.
